Just got in from the game. What an unbelievable comeback! After being down 28-12, the Cougars never gave up and went on to win 30-28. Brance Stiner played his best game of the season along with Eric Summers. The defense showed a lot of heart in the second half against a very strong Hilltopper offense. Probably the biggest play in the history of CCHS football occured on a 4th and 2 very late in the game in Cougar territory. The defense stuffed the runner. Johnson sealed the win with a great interception. Congrats guys and go beat DB.

Campbell Co. has to be the biggest surprise in East Tennessee this year, there currently 6-2 overall and 4-1 in region 1-5A. With the win tonight they have clinched there first ever playoff spot. If they can beat Karns week 10 its hard to believe but Campbell Co could host a playoff game. Great Job Campbell Co. thumb but there is one thing I must ask how could you lose to Clinton this year B)

Congradulations Campbell County Cougars!,You Are In The Playoffs!

Go Whip DB And Bring The Indians Back To Earth!

Even the most optimistic Cougar fans can only hope for a miracle when KDB comes to town next week. Trailing 28-12 with just over 3 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter, the Cougars mounted a furious comeback and owned the 4th quarter at Science Hill to clinch their first ever play-off appearence. However, the game took its toll on the Cougars.

Soph. QB Brance Stiner, who had an unbelievable night, could not finish the last series of the game due to an injured hand. His parents were taking him to have it evaluated. Several other Cougars were banged up in this intense, hard-hitting emotional game.

Not conceding the KDB game, but the Cougars will have to play their game of games to compete with the hard-charging Indians. With the loss of Jefferson Co. to Sevier Co., it appears the battle for the 2nd seed in Region 1 5A will be at Karns in the season finale for the Cougars. Of course, if the Cougars simply beat KDB, they will be the #1 seed! :D

Unfortunate news for us CC fans.  I was just updated with the latest information on Brance Stiner, and he has a broken hand.  Looks like Brian Slover will be taking his place as the QB.

Too bad that practically everything sweet in the world has to have some salt for balance. I am sure the Stiner kid was going the extra mile when the injury happened. But adversity seems to be the thing this team feeds off of, SO, CONGRATS, and pick up the pieces for next week, and the next, and now the NEXT. thumb
