look out for morristown west. a great new head coach whose worst record for over a 30 year period was 25-10...also last years JV team was awesome and theyre all Varsity now

If what I saw from Morristown East during the summer at Milligan is any indication of what they have, they are in deep trouble. They may have been missing some players, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt.

BTW, Hurst has never coached boys on the varsity level. I do believe he's in over his head, just like the boys' coach at Knox Central (Lambert).

Don't know anything about Hurst, but Lambert is not in over his head. He knows a ton about the game and is the hardest working, most dedicated high school basketball coach I have ever been around. Don't know anything about his players this year, but I've heard that he has one senior player on the roster, thats a tough situation for any coach to be in, but he's done it before (coached a team that had no seniors). He's a winner and won't ever give up, you can count on that.

Have you ever seen one of his practices or morning workouts? Have you ever been to one of his summer sessions with his kids? Do you really know just exactly how much talent is there? I wish my kids could have had the oppertunity to play for him. Lambert is about the kids and will give his time to any player who wants to get better.

I've participated in the practices and morning workouts and summer sessions. As I stated before, the most dedicated high school basketball coach i've ever been around. never heard of another coach that opens up the gym at 5:30 for anyone interested in coming to work on their game. Not two days a week either. He'll does it for you 360 days a year and rebound every ball you shoot. I too hope my kids will be able to play for him someday.
