We are getting better each and every day. Next year you guys better watch out! Especially if you guys stay in our region, which I do not think will happen.

I will tolerate that glenfry because you have faced both teams and i havent seen cheatham play. fairview's secondary did not play well against lewis co. i kow that for a fact. that was the only way lewis scored that night was aon a secondary breakdown. good luck to lewis the rest of the way, i hope you go up to camden and beat them.

If my Camden Lions have anything to say about it, Lewis Co will be going home after the first round....should be interesting after the 13-12 "contest" last year....at least there won't be any fog horns in our deer stands and I hope WE have some refs that will call the game as it is actually played on the field....BTW Gerry your Jackets are looking good this year but I think the Cubs will be a true test of Fairview's defense especially the secondary....Cheatham 27-Fairview 17. Good Luck to both of these deserving teams!

I'm pretty sure that since Lewis County is already the #3 seed in region 5-2A and they know that they will have to play at Camden in the opening round, then they are using this week as an extra week of preparation for the Lions. Lewis County should get a big lead on Harpeth early in the game, then rest their starters for next week. I'm sure that coach Sharp and his staff will make the trip to Camden to watch the Lions play Chester County this Friday night. Chester County is still playing for a possible playoff bid (they must beat Camden & hope for Riverside to beat Adamsville) so I wouldn't expect a walk in the park for Camden this week.

That game will be played in Chester co so Coach Sharp maybe reviewing this one on film, but I do know that Coach Ward plans to be in the stands Thursday to watch Lewis co...but anyway, I know that Chester co will come out to play but Camden will be ready, especially after they almost had their lunch handed to them at Dresden...we look forward to a Lewis co rematch...should be a great game!

Coach Sharp will make the trip to Chester Co. to check out his opponent I know that for a fact. Back to the Fairview-Cheatham Co. game, this game will display smashmouth football at its best. I have a feeling though the Cubs will try to challenge the Jackets secondary. Just as stated before the big men up front will decide this game for either team. I personally think Fairview has the edge on the line, but I am a little bias. Hopefully the game is injury free and the teams will be at full strength for the playoffs.

Catfish, I think UTM may pull off two in a row also. I was surprised to see they won last week and the way they won.

Haven't seen Cheatham Co. play, but like the way Fairview plays, with good size up front and speed at the skill positions. Special teams could be the difference, and Fairview has good specialists. Here's hoping Fairview "gets the ring."

By the way, UTM gets throttled on the road by SEMO - TTU is rolling in the OVC if anyone cares (yeah, I know.)

Good Luck 'Jackets!

Not so fast my friend, im for cheatham 100% in this game and hopefully ill be at the game. Langley will play and will not be out of sinc. Landon jones will play and he will run as hard as anyone. I must remind you that not only does cheatham have HUGE playmakers at reciever with piper and d. thomas but a reliable weapon at te with stokes. A little fact, langley has not thrown a pic all season, hopefully the streak will continue. HOWEVER, cheathams o-line and entire defense hasnt played worth a flip the past 5 quarters or so. The cubs o line must block better and the defense MUST not miss tackles. I know coach finley is one of the toughest coaches around and he'll defenitely have the boys fired up. I know my boy clint casteel #10 (remember his name) will be ready to light the heads up. He is defenitely a stud as well as the d line. The d line will make or break the game in my opinion because when they play smart, they dominate but when they dont keep their heads they play like they did against sycamore. Also, the secondary has to step up and make plays, its time for the leaders to lead. ANother point, jones, casteel, piper, thomas and the rest of the linebackers will all return next season. We all remember how horrible the cubs played last seaosn at fairview and they have some making up to do. The team who commits the least amount of to's and plays with the most heart will win.

Dont take these opinions the wrong way but i think that everbody is forgetting one main defensive player in this whole cheatem fariview game....Blake Sullivan..He has averaged about 2 sacke per game and Cassidy #44 has over 60 solo tackles......And not to mention Lee Fleet is going to strait crush the tight end this week so im sayin fairvie with some help fom the polih cannon Fairview 24 cheatem 21

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
