Region 5-5A vs Region 6-5A

Here are the playoff teams from Region 6-5A... I'm sure someone from Region 5 will figure out their four teams and thus the first round playoff games shortly.

 

1. Brentwood

2. Franklin

3. Ravenwood

4. Clarksville

 

Congratulations to Clarksville for returning to the playoffs and to Ravenwood for their first ever playoff berth!

 

And of course, good luck Rebels in the new season! Everyone's 0-0 now... this is the best time of the year. Enjoy it everyone up in Tennessee.

Interesting note here... Centennial is NOT in the playoffs. Amazing considering many picked them to win Region 6-5A this year.

 

A note from the BigDogDaddy to one of those folks that picked Centennial, sportsguy... "same ole, same ole" as far as CHS goes. And that same ole same ole had them get passed by RHS and CvHS.

Just got back from Paris watching the Bruins win the tough Region 6-5A crown-for the fourth year in a row. Congratulations to Team Brentwood. When I heard the playoff pairings, I have one question.

 

Centennial, what happened?

I was also surprised when I heard that Centennial was out. I figured that Gallatin would end up playing them in the first round like we do alomost every year here lately. Someone tell me about Ravenwood. What kind of offense? Size, speed, etc. It's good to be back in a thread with our buddies from region 6. I missed you guys last year since Gallatin missed the playoffs. Its good to be back! I look forward to talking to you all this post season.

Centennial was winnning 21-14 at half and then just fell apart in the second half. They had a 4th and ten with about 45 seconds left and coach gregory called a pass play that gave the Cougars maybe 5 yards, so what else is new......Clarksville had a great second half, congrats guys.

When I heard that McGavock had beaten Hendersonville, I thought man it is going to be tough to stop that wishbone next week. Then I get the news that Clarksville pulled the upset and Centennial sits this postseason out....WOW!

 

Ravenwood- T.C.Jennings has thrown for what 1400+ yards this year. And the runningback has over 1000 yards as well. We have our work cut out for us!

 

My thought after seeing the pairings......Franklin got a tough draw. Looks like Antioch can coast to the 3rd round. Speed kills!

Should have known that Greg Gregory would wake up and remember that he is "Greg Gregory" and stop the Cougars from going to the playoffs.

 

And for the numerically challenged friends at Pravda, er, the Tennessean, the Brentwood final was 45-24.
