How can you score points when your quarterback isn't all there? Cody had a rough game through the air and that is our big scoring plays usually. No one really expected him to have a break out game since he lost his dad. Give credit to Centrals DB's though as well. Everyone has a bad game, they are human. Maryville is the only team right now who scores a lot of points every game.

I don't know Cody, but I know his type...I don't think he'd be wanting you to make excuses for him (even though you mean well). He gaved his all thru a tough time. He wanted that game bad and it showed late in the game when he had to be consoled by the coaching staff.

I don't think Cody would make excuses. They got beat by the better team "that nite".

Are we worried about d-1 players or high school football? But Baron Huber is going to Alabama, and who knows where Zane Bruhin will go, he is offense though.

I am nnot sure on how many they have given up but i know they are 7-3 and Central is just 8-2. So i mean i guess the scheme wasn't too bad.

Moyers-

I know cody wouldn't make excuses about that. But the true fact is that he was probaly exhausted from the whole week which will take alot from your physical and your mental parts of the game. Powell lost. They played bad and Central didnt play exceptional but better than Powell did i agree. but Powell is the better ball club, in my opinion.

Well, from what I understand, their a mismatch for you all the same way Maryville is. Ya'll are admittedly mostly size. Cleveland is mostly speed. It is a concern.

One thing I don't think ya'll concentrate enough on is scoring early. With the size ya'll have you need to win the toss, take the ball and drive drive drive. You need to be outscoring opponents 200-0 on the season in the first qtr. 400-0 in the first half. Pass the ball 10 times to #6 if that's what it takes.

That way, being tired in the 4th qtr doesn't matter so much. True?

    • Honestly the A.D. may be powerless at Maryville to some degree versus other schools. I know he has his hands full with GoFan and all the stupid surprises just from the emails he sends out during the season.
    • Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
