I remember playing in "The Hole" in Smith County.  It was one of the coolest fields I have played at.

The hole has really changed a lot since you played here. The field was raised about 6' (crowned) and a new drainage system was installed. The home side has been expanded from end zone to end zone...and the new vistitors stands (to seat 1000) were installed. It's going to be rockin' tonight.

I hear your field is very nice too. I didn't get to make the trip up there. Maybe we'll get to renew a series somewhere down the road.

I grew up in Tennessee, but have spent the last 21 yrs in exile in Florida. I had forgotten what beautifil places some fo these stadiums are, especially the rural ones, filled to capacity on a beautiful fall Friday night (or a miseraby cold one with a driving rain, that's fine too). It's made me homesick, especially since MBA lost last night.

I had to work security at MTSU's game Saturday. There was no way they had 19,000 people there. Well, it's back to D-II.

    • I have no issues with the Karns Middle School program.   Good coaches and he's with the kids he goes to school with.  He's a rising 6th grader who had to play with 6th grade kids last year because Karns didn't have enough kids for a 5th grade age team.  He's in a good place at this point.   My daughter is a single mom with 4 kids under 11 years old.  We help her out with logistics, so staying in our own area right now is important.  Once he gets to high school age, who knows what happens?  That bridge will be crossed when we get there.
    • I know he was a backup but I thought he filled in well when the starter went down. Never a bad thing to have a change of pace back
    • That would be a good get for them. Lowe always finds a way. Pretty sure they have their Rb from last year returning but not that line of beef
    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
