It will be tough for any of the 4 teams to get there.  There's no clear cut favorite.

I have to agree. As much as everyone wants to see their hometeam win, there has not been 4 teams from this region with as equal a chance until now. Anyone slacking the next two Friday nights is done. I would hate to know that my finances depended on betting on any of these teams to win out the region. Good luck to whichever team makes it..

I think Smith Co will beat portland for the 4th straight time, Look at the fact that Portland has never beaten the Owls at home... I belive the owls will lose to them at home sometime, but this year.. It wont happen.. I look forword to this game.. Goodluck Owls..

Smith County: 18

Portland: 14

You need to get your facts straight:

1. SC hasn't beaten Portland three times in a row yet, so what makes you think it will be four in a row?

2. Portland has NEVER ? beaten the Owls at home? I have to totally disagree with you on this one. I know for a fact that SC has lost to the Panthers in the "Hole" in the past.

Check your facts BEFORE you post them.

I totally agree...(no offense to anyone) But i am a cheerleader for portland and even I could tell there was something up with the refs last time we played SC. Now this week we will have official playoff refs that KNOW how to call. it will be a fair and just game and I think we have the ability to beat the owls.

Yeah...when a cheerleader says the refs cheated...it must be so. Gee...the thing is...we could get the same refs. All are tssaa refs. What a thought...huh?

    • Congratulations to Huntingdon and Station Camp. Lots of good softball in Tennessee. Alcoa been media favorite last two seasons.
    • Im more of a Basketball follower than football and like I said we play what we have, there is no going and recruiting or even talking kids into transferring…..and to rebut about Memphis teams in finals I’ve watched Memphis East and Penny Hardaway with the enrollment of a single A team play up and dominate any and all challengers for years! They aren’t the only ones either Mike Miller and son at Germantown put together that super team a couple years ago that ran through the rest of the state! Other teams from Memphis or Chatt or Nash or any large populated area pop up and are relevant out of nowhere every year because they get an influx of talent be it from a new coach or AAU affiliations it happens in football also just like any other sport! I hope these two schools that close join together and get to play the team you support, then you may see it differently! I find it funny some of you think recruiting and resources don’t matter . The county schools get very little funding also but you don’t want to get me started on that part!
    • In a total classless move, Coach Simmons once again shows his true colors. Waits till the day after school is out to let everyone know he is leaving. Fails up to a community college job after a lackluster 2 year span at GH. And do not tell me about the state run that saved a sub .500 season and plenty of whippings by Cookeville and Lebanon.  Looks like the girls job at GH is cursed. Terrible MS program/coaches feeding what is turning out to be a joke of a HS team.
