MBA at MUS

Great high school game. Defenses dominated except for a couple of big plays. Came down to MBA not being able to convert in short yardage situations and missed FGs. MBA D line dominated and MUS linebackers were all over the field. Anyone there was treated to a tremendous game.

Good luck to MUS vs BA. But I have to think that BAs running game can come alive. After all, they need to get a return for all the investments they have made through the years...

Congratulations to MUS on a hard fought win. They are a fine football team. I have to give them the advantage over BA going into the Clinic Bowl.

Even though, this season, didn't turn out how MBA wanted, it was still a great year. The Big Red overcame alot of early season adversity. The experience Howe has gained this year will be huge for him and this team for the next two years. There are alot of good players coming back next year, so things look positive for the future. Seniors, keep your heads up. You have alot to be proud of. There are alot of teams out there that would kill to have a season like yours. Even though you won't be in your third Clinic Bowl, you still got two gold balls and that's two more than most seniors ever get. Underclassmen, get in the weightroom and start getting ready for next year.

Having said all that, I have a few questions. Why wasn't Snyder playing? Also, why wasn't MBA able to run the ball more effectively, even without him? Johnson and Beckner are solid backs, as well. Were the holes not there or were the running plays not being called?

Roll Red!

    • So much talk about an investigation about student record manipulation and then everything has went silent. Has anyone heard how the investigation is going?
    • Basically what you're saying is schools can basically bully students around and get away with it because they are protected. I agree to a certain extent but when schools decisions to keep knuckleheads on staff starts costing kids careers and a college education there is a problem. Our school system last week had a teacher supposedly push a kid and the parents went to the law and the teacher is suspended. So I wouldn't say that they can just do what they want without liability. This case don't pass the smell test because the coach had already been fired before and she got fired after a year on the job. Sounds like the student was right in this case on the outside looking in because the coach gets fired after one year. How many coaches get fired after one year?? Not many.
    • Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen.
    • I know the RB from OR he’s fast and has good hands. Is good on special teams also. Didn’t want to play defense over to the Ridge.
