Best sophomore?!

 

Maurice Miller, Raleigh Egypt.  Ranked in top twenty sophomores in the nation.  Led Memphis Magic to 15-and-under National Championship this summer.  Averaged 19 pts. and 11 assists in the national tournament!  Starting PG for Raleigh Egypt.  6'2"/185lbs.  Over the rim player with Great floor presence.  The rest may be good, but they're playing for second place at this point.

I played against Miller two years ago and they did kill us.....Miller did the top-off hit 5 3s and had a dunk, I think he even sold cokes at halftime, but I have heard that he is like a 17 or 18 year old sophmore as a "Grade Exception" or something. He is a good player and an unbelievable talent but he was probably driving to school in 8th grade.

Maurice Miller was held back in the SECOND grade because his family moved to Memphis from Ohio and he missed a lot of school that year. He just turned 16 this year and played for the National Champion 15-and-under Memphis Magic this summer. Not only is he eligible...but carries a 4.0 average thru his 9th and so far, 10th grade year. It is uninformed morons like you that start ridiculous rumors that besmirch great kids like Moe. Take the trouble to find out the truth before you slander someone's reputation.

JC, though young, could have two legitimate players on their roster that could be some of the best sophomore players in the state, if they get hot down the stretch. Guess we will wait n see.

Walter Dozier from McCallie. He's probably one of the best point guards in East Tennessee and he's only a sophmore.

Hillsboro has some great sophmores in Cameron Jordan and Jaymes Mooney. Both have the potential to be great in the future. Also Joshua Lipscomb from Hillwood and Gerald Robinson from Martin Luther King.
