Congratulations (again) to Bradley Central! You guys are killing us at Huntsville.....and pretty much have for the better part of the last 15-20 years.

congrats to the new coaching staff at Bradley Central. This is a nice win for Coach L. to get under his belt, considering the young team he has this year and the amount of wrestlers who graduated in 2004.

 

A real test coming up is this coming weekend at the Cleveland Duals. Frankin, Ringgold and Lassiter all in the same group. Franklin returns the most point scorers from Feburary. Ringgold is last year's Ga. State champs for their division and Lassiter is always a good team as well, and had a strong 3rd place finish in the Knox Catholic tourney, with three individual champs.

 

The other pool looks good this year also, with Christian Bros., Cleveland, Collins Hill and Grissom, Al. As usual, CBHS is a tough team from Div 2, Cleveland ranked very high so far this year, Collins Hill ranked number one in their Ga. Div and Grissom coming off a tournament win at Black Horse Inv.

 

Should be a great weekend of wrestling.

      Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?

      Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
