if you go to the website, it has a link for blackhorse and coaches contact info.

congrats to the head lifeguard at the wave pool for leading the left side finishers, but watch for that horsie coming up from behind.

by the way, it was a very well run tourney. and the guy on the matchboard and mike just made it for me.........i hear he's available to help at other events and works just for adult beverages afterwards........

Agreed on the congratulations to Coach Lewis and Houston definitely impressed this weekend, they look to be very strong this year. usfjim, it was nice to finally put a face to the name, sorry I had little time to talk. It was a great tournament, well run as always and I look forward to being back next year. Thanks to Walt and the rest of the Houston staff for putting on the most well run tournament in Memphis!

IT WAS A VERY WELL RAN TOURNAMENT, ALMOST TO A "T" ACCORDING TO THE TIMES LISTED ON THE TOURNAMENT INFORMATION FORM. I ALSO SAW A LOT OF TEAMS THAT WERE IN THE LOWER HALF OF THE TOURNAMENT LAST YEAR, STEP UP INTO THE UPPER HALF, OR THEY WERE AT LEAST SCORING A LOT MORE POINTS THAN A YEAR AGO. I KNOW A LOT OF TEAMS USE THIS TOURNAMENT AS A MEASURING POLE TO SEE JUST WHERE THEY ARE AT, AND WHERE THEY NEED TO GET TO, COME FEBURARY( INCLUDING MY TEAM).

I think Ridgeway needs some cough drops.

I totally disagree. Their best team was not there. There was no Mitchell Ashkenaz, no Michael Ferguson and no Carl Taylor. In a dual they beat what a lot of people believed to be best team in West TN, CBHS. Don't discount them based on their team placing in Black Horse.

Exciting is definitely the word on that one!!!!! Anyone at the tourney would certainly agree with you. But I would have to say that it was closer than I expected but Nick did show signs of why he is so dominate at the end. I do have to admit that Lucas wrestled very well and I think he will definitely be making big big noise in feb.

    • I hear the Stansberry kid is having receiver's come out all the time to help put in some work.    RWR!! I hope 20+ kids are showing up.
    • I think that pretty much sums it up, really. To be perfectly honest, I'm far less sour about Eagleville getting to host themselves in the state tournament every year than I am the fact that we find ourselves in a position that we have to play STATE TOURNAMENT games at a blamed Single A facility.
    • It's time to put away with the award. 18 players selected, and 17 of those players are from Middle and East Tennessee. I guess they don't play baseball in West Tennessee. I understand there will be players that were "snubbed." We can make a legit argument that it occurs in Mr. Football and as well as Mr./Mrs. Basketball. But baseball is not a place where we can sit here and say "these are the 3 best players in this class and that class."  And we got to get rid of these polls bullcrap that's being released. It's all nonsense.
    • Thanks. I'm just trying to understand how this process works.   It seems like a bit of a sweetheart deal to me but the cookie has to crumble somewhere I guess.
    • He won’t got anywhere he has it made in h20 he prob makes almost what a head coach in t c makes plus there’s not as much pressure there everyone is a use to the losing there. I say he will be there for many years just waiting for Webster to leave…
