smalltown
1. Ron Mercer 2. Drew Maddux 3. Mike Rhodes 4. Mario Moore * not as familiar with Middle Tennessee as I am West and East...I'm sure I'm leaving out several...I can think of several good post players from Middle Tennessee (David Harrison, Brandon Wright, Julian Terrell, Oliver Simmons, Kirk Haston, Brian Watkins, Charles Hathaway and the guy that went to Miss. State and is still in the NBA).
85warrior
Brent Jolly led White County to back to back state championships in 1998 and 1999. He was a good one.
crimsontide43
Drew Maddux was a joke. More false hustle than any player in history.
smalltown
Brent Jolley certainly deserves to be on there...can't believe I forgot about him. Drew Maddux was far from a joke. You can't score over 1,000 points and make All-SEC with false hustle. That kid was a winner.
bigchief
The post player that went to Mississippi State is Dante Jones who is currently playing for the ABA Nashville team. Brian Watkins was incredibly lazy. Apparently, nobody on here is older than 30 because all of these guys listed have been in the last ten years. In Middle Tennessee from the 80's--- Terry Howard--Maplewood '82 Reggie Glimps-Cohn '82 Kevin Anglin-Franklin '89 Barry Booker--BGA '85 Johnny Lynn--Beech '84 Fred Jenkins-Columbia '83 Thomas Earl Mullins--Maplewood '81 Greg Stevenson--McGavock '84 Sidney Grider--Father Ryan '85 David Smith--Pearl '81 or 82 John Sneed--Father Ryan '80 Tommy Stamps--Hendersonville '80 Tim Burr--Maplewood '87 Sandy McClain--Stratford '83 Calvin Peters--Whites Creek '84 Marcus Jemison--Overton '86 A few from the 70's Tommy Sidwell--Hillwood Tommy Springer--Glencliff Spencer Richardson--East Fred Harris--McGavock Johnny Darden--Springfield Old School thumb
bigAsports
Jerry Meyer (College basketball's all-time assist leader). Also as a H.S. player at Lipscomb was a 2 time Mr. Basketball. He held the scoring mark for a while as well. I beleive Jerry was better than anyone I have seen mentioned.
bigchief
You are right. Jeryy Meyer--Lipscomb '88. Now assisting Ricky Bowers. Missed him at our Ensworth game yesterday. Also, Myron Carter--Goodpasture '81 and for that matter Ricky Bowers--MBA '80.

ksgovols
Yep. I was gonna mention Fred Jenkins. He was a player and was the all time leader in steals at UT until Tony Harris got the record.
Idunk2
Oakland, I can't believe you left out Will Rowland. He was a great high school player at Oakland. Wade Parsons (Cumberland Co.) would also be on the list along with Geoff Herman (Tyner HS). Kyle Freeman (Giles Co.) and Andy McQueen (Clarksville HS ?). Those are the guys that I remember being big time ballers.
