Tennessee Commitments as of 12/6/04

S = Antonio Wardlow (Winston Salem, NC) 6'1, 200, 4.40

DT = Demonte Bolden (Chattanooga, TN) 6'4, 310,4.90*Signed last season.

RB = LaMarcus Coker (Antioch, TN) 5'11, 195, 4.40

DB = Marsalous Johnson (Smyrna, TN) 5'9, 185, 4.50

QB = Jonathan Crompton (Waynesville, NC) 6'4, 216, 4.90

DE = Wes Brown (Athens, AL) 6'4, 252, 4.90

CB = Richard Kemp (Warren, AR) 5'11, 185, 4.50

ATH = Austin Rogers (Nashville, TN) 6'2, 190, 4.40

CB = Demetrice Morley (Miami, FL) 6'0, 180, 4.55

WR = Josh Briscoe (Lawndale, NC) 6'3, 190, 4.50

 

It looks like Tennessee is in good shape with the #1 RB in the country in Jonathan Stewart who will be visiting this weekend the #1 recruit in the country Ath = Derrick Williams had a good time on his trip to UT for the Kentucky game and it looks like it will be a UT-OU battle. :(

Tennessee QB commitment Jonathan Crompton has turned down Steve Spurrier twice in the past week when tring to set up a in home visit as well as a offical visit to SC. ;)

Reports are that QB commit Jon Crompton has been making phone calls to recruits and will be there Friday night to be with the visitors but will have to leave on saturday to report to Spartanburg, SC for the NC-SC Shrine Bowl.

Thanks for the info.  I've tried to tell everyone Crompton would still come to UT no matter what, but most everyone in the Nashville area is for sure Spurrier is going to get him at SC.

TE = Jeff Cottam (Germantown HS) Germantown, TN 6'7, 255, 4.75.

 

Commited to the UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE he is the VOLS 11th commitment. He is ranked as a 4* star recruit by one service and the 7th best TE in the country. IT is possible with his size that he could grow into a Offensive line prospect with some weight training.

 

He had offers from Auburn, Alabama, Notre Dame & Ole miss

This is a big time visit weekend. Maybe the biggest of them all. The January 14th weekend is shaping up to be pretty big as well.

LB - Andre Mathis (Erie, PA) 6'1, 225, 4.60

 

Has commited to the University of Tennessee. He is rated a 4* prospect by one recruiting service and the #7 MLB in the country.

 

He will likely play MLB at Tennessee.

 

Andre Mathis recorded 85 tackles, 24 tackles for a loss, 3 sacks, caused 3 fumbles, and recovered 2 fumbles as a senior, He also led his team with 88 tackles as a junior.

 

He commited to Tennessee over Ohio State, Michigan State & Iowa.

LB - Todd Cox (Memphis, TN) 6-0, 190, 4.60

 

Ranked by one recruiting service as a 4* and the 17th best LB prospect in the country.

 

Has commited to the Tennessee Volunteers. He chose Tennessee over such schools as USC, Miami, LSU, Auburn & Florida.

 

He finished his senior year with 10 sacks.
