Have your fun now folks because time has a way of changing things. Two points please: (1) When I saw Shelbyville a few nights ago they were already way better than they were at the last playday event I saw them at. They will continue to get better not because a recruit is coming, but because they have a great program and they work hard. (2) Huck is right as usual. Harpeth Hall has a GREAT team this year. Now, I'm a Lawrence County fan and we have been on the wrong end of a lot of beatings at the hands of Shelbyville (including this year :) ) but there is no need to go haterizing on other teams, schools or coaches. When other schools work as hard for as long and have the support that Shelbyville has, then you will see other teams rising to the top and staying there. You will also see people pulling up stakes and moving their children to play with such a program. Show me the receipts and maybe I will start believing that they are buying famlies and moving them to horse country.

HOOPS TO YA!!!

No one should abuse an opportunity to gloat. Gloat with class if that's possible. The Eaglettes may not win the district, but they just might have a say in who does. Until you have beaten them, they are still who they are. Columbia hasn't beaten them since 1998 I think. I am excited about going to the "Grill" on Friday but still those gold balls are intimidating. I like our chances, but anything can happen in that place. Good programs attract good players, not the other way around and if the players have the means to better themselves..... so be it. Now saying that... it is fun to watch other teams have a chance to win against a team that has dominated for so long. Go Lady Lions!

    • Biggest position to fill is QB. Kamden was special. A 1A team that can run and pass is very dangerous.
    • That would have been Coach Benjamin who was his legal Guardian and the DB coach.  I was the LB's Coach that was barely older than the players (I was going to UT for school and had started at Greeneville since my Sophomore year when Z coached there and he asked me to help coach)
    • Going on over a month now and still nothing, rumor mill or not I think a decision needs to be made. Maybe they don’t have anyone wanting it and maybe rumor mill don’t need it they are taking this long to come to an agreement.
    • Gibson County proved last year you can win it all with 6 players and if I’m not mistaken they only played 5 in the championship game. I would expect them to be good by end of season but I think losing Hart is a huge loss.  Summer camp gives teams a preview of what to expect and it’s exciting to see where teams are at. The Fillies return 3 starters and the 6th man that is 6’2” and I think she is going to surprise folks this season.
