Well devilfanatic i dont guess you were at that game in Monroe Co. last year to see the so-called officiating in that particular game. Me personally i thought there were several call and no-calls both ways last night, so i dont see why officiating was even brought into this thread in the first place, it was a hard fought game and as a fan myself it was exciting to watch and i give credit to both teams on there physical play no matter what the outcome would have been.As for you moc3balla, i think it is crazy to think that Pickett isnt that good, and they are not good enough to win the stae title. They have one of the toughest schedules in the state and are playing some of the best team basketball ever at Pickett Co. in my opinion. If i had to put money on anyone winning the state championship it would be the Bobcats without question, as for Clay Co. i think they are also a good team, they have had several injuries that have slowed them down but when they are at full strength they are as tough as anyone.

Did you read my post? I definately see your point as you were on the winning team, that was a great intentional foul call towards the end of the game to give Pickett 4 more points don't you think, i didn't see anyone from Pickett Co in foul trouble did you? I never said or implied that the officiating at this game cost Clay Co. a win, i said it would have been an even closer game, read the post! Pickett Co. was and is the better team, hands down i have said that from the start, it is theirs to loose thats for sure. Now once Clay Co. gets healthy, they might give them a better game, that is if the Knight boy returns this year, i won't even say anything about whats going to happen next year, Pickett won, Clay lost, game over, end of discussion. I am a firm believer that you learn alot more in a loss than in a victory, and when and if Clay Co learns how to win these close games against a great team like Pickett Co then they can talk about making a run at the state, until then its just talk. In the future if you are going to comment on my posts make sure you have your facts straight! thumb

devilfanatic...phew! What an over reaction!!!! My point was Clay Co. came in fired up and played great....WAY better than they played at Livingston. Pickett Co. didn't play as well as they did in Livingston and I do think they thought Clay Co. would come in short handed due to injuries...which they didn't. Pickett has a very good team, but this was not their best game by any means. You saw how they played at LA and they would not have won that tournament if they hadn't played at the level they played at LA. I thought Clay Co. gave their all and could not have played a much better game. Walden never gave Bailey an inch. I don't think Pickett did give their best and that takes nothing away from the outstanding game Clay Co. had. Didn't all you Clay Co. people post that Pickett would win by 20+? Well Pickett didn't win by that much for all the reasons I've stated and the #1 reason is that Clay Co. played an outstanding game. As for Monroe Co., I have been to 2 games there. The first one they scored with 6 players on the court and were given the points. The next year they started fights on the court, knocked down Pickett players w/o any calls. After the game some of their girls in the lobby started a fist fight with other Monroe girls and the police had to break it up. Anyone complaining about games there have good reason. Monroe Co. has a police escort to take the team busses to the county line after their games...I think that says it all.

Hey im not trying to imitate anybody thats for sure. As for your post i did read your post and i have my facts straight dont worry. At the end of the game, pickett had the fast break and groce went in for the layup and was fouled, then groce went up for another layup and was fouled hard again this time drawing the intentional foul. Now i was almost right in front of both plays when they occured and im sorry but the ball was the last thing they were going for. It happens though in a game such as this between 2 big rivals. As for getting the facts straight, i believe i said there were calls and no-calls on both teams not just for Pickett so im pretty sure im not the one who needs to get the facts straight, but im sure others will say different and thats fine with me i dont have any problems with that at all.
