West Carrol

Good points mrbigster.  Remember, WC has a girls team too and the girls coach gets to choose the schedule and opponents also.  I do know that WC played some tough scrimmage games in November with Middleton, Union City, and Martin Westview.  The schedule is already set and what's said on these message boards (thankfully) does not decide anyone's season.  Best of luck to all teams.  May the best one win.

If the message boards decided anyone's schedule..we would have a lot of state champions..as everyone thinking their respective teams can't be beat..Good luck to your team also..

These message boards would be great if people knew what they were talking about and if the conversations were informative and positive about each person's respective teams. Instead, a bunch of fans abuse the boards to talk smack about other teams. I am from West Carroll and I proudly support my team. I know we are good and the kids work hard and play hard for good coaches. I do not want to discredit any team or any teenager playing for any team. As for WC fans, we are all not as obnoxious as monstermann, so don't judge us by one loudmouth. As a person close to the program, I can tell you that the coaches and players are aware that everyone is criticizing their strength of schedule and their ability. Beleive me the season was not purposefully scheduled to pad records or stats. Perhaps we are the Boston College of Tennessee. But weak schedule or not, 19-1 is still a great record. Best of luck to my boys on Thursday night.

guys i really think every one is blowing this west carroll thing out of the water! really they are in trouble when the tournments role around. they have to go trough thier district which isn't going to be a walk in the park, but i don't think they will run into real trouble until region....the second round game for them is going to be the hardest they will have played all year.... they will have Middleton, jcs, or Adamsville and if you ask me Middleton is the best team in west tenn, not west carroll. the weak schedule they played this whole season is going to hurt them in the long run.

My boys of WC came through with a great win tonight.  WC beats Trenton by 12 (74-62).  X started the game with a deep 3 with Doaks' hand in his face and the War Eagles never trailed.  Up by as much as much as 17, this was a great team effort.  The War Eagles are more than just X.  Lorenzo Stewart (soph) stepped up big with 23 points and 6 threes.  Big minutes from the bench. Great game in front of a packed house.  Please give my boys a little credit now.

yep its about that time. what else must they do to get some respect...20-1 speaks for itself. you all said they couldnt handle a tough opponent and they took down one of the best teams in the state tonight. its ok if your not ready yet...i'll save you disbelievers a seat beside me on the bandwagon for the ride to the boro. and im not an obsessed west carroll fan either im not even from there, i just think they deserve some respect.

Great matchup tonight Webb vs Doaks. Webb started out the game with a deep 3 with Doaks in his face and WC never looked back. Webb had 2 threes and 18 points. Doaks had 19 points. Huge crowd definitely got their money's worth. WC gave an excellent team effort with 23 points and 6 threes from sophomore Stewart. WC definitely proved they have more guns than just Webb - going 8 deep on the bench. WC earns a lot of respect tonight beating a quality team. Good team play and good coaching. Best of luck to both teams in tourneys.

    • Good ole Bradley Zulliger. He was a really good QB @ OR. Fun to watch.  Wore #15 and was like a mini Tebow, with the exception of being right handed. He could take a pounding and keep on ticking. Played with a collapsed lung against Powell that year. Tough as nails.
    • They should be pretty good in year two for Rang.  Replacing most of the offensive production losing Dozier, Hayward and Rembert , but they're are skill kids in place ready for their shot.  I know I say this every year, but the o line should show improvement after two years in Rang and Kevin Day's weight program.  I still would favor West over Plow and OR come November.  The Rebs will have to grow up a bunch between now and then, and will probably take some lumps along the way with that schedule.  But I predict come playoff time they will be ready.   One of their coaches half joked to me that they could go 5-5 regular season and win the state championship.  Ha ha.
    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
