Great win with all the sickness on the team. Volunteer wanted the game more than HV. 19 wins right now. I am proud of the team and coaches for all they have battled though. Coach Whitt has his team playing tough at tourney time as usual. I feel like we are a dangerous team right now. I know this team will be prepared and ready for their game on Tuesday. I encourage all students to Unicoi to back these guys up.

I think district one is capable of pulling off the sweep, but there is always an early suprise. Should be an exciting day on Tueday.

Girls play at 5:30 on Monday vs a tough P. forge team. They need the same support as the boys.

terolico,

You are a Joke what do you have to say now that Volunteer has won two district games and has a great chance to win in the region come Tuesday against Claiborne Co.

i bet that it was a hard practice learning that new offense you used when you played central.i would think frazier was not happy not getting to shoot while that was going on.he could have shot on the other end. all you needed was the point gaurd and a clock. did it take all 4or 5 coaches to come up with that master game plan.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
