i dont know why you are hating on blackman.  they beat yall every year and you cant take it.  i have seen warren county play for the past four years and they are awful.  yall dont even play real soccer.  all the people on your tean dont even play travel.  yall just see who can kick the ball  the farthest and then run.  blackman is just as good as every team in the state.  warren county you arent going to be good, you never are.  all of your players may have been good in the warren county recreational league but they stink in organized soccer.  if any of you were to actually play travel or anything like that, you would realize what soccer is.  blackman will win district for the third consecutive year.

I've not been on here in awhile, but I saw this post and felt the need to respond. I think pioneer09 beat me to it as far as why this post is wrong, but I had to say something as well. First off, why does it matter whether anyone on our team plays travel or not? For the record, we did some, just not year 'round because we all didn't have the time or money too. Some of us simple country boys have to work when school's not in, etc. Second off, our "group of scrubs" that you're implying about, were "good enough" to go to the Final Four of the state a few years ago. And all of our rec league all-stars were able to come together and do this while in the mean time, a couple of guys picked up all-state honors. I will say in your defense, that our style of play might be different from most everyone else's as most play a strictly possession game, while Warren Co. has long been known for its long balls and track meets. But like the old saying goes, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". and altho this "style" might tick others off, it has produced A LOT of wins over the years. and just don't make fun of Warren Co. b/c they don't have M'boro or some other big city name. I know I have the upmost respect for blackman, as well as both oakland and r'dale. blackman is a good team, and for the record, they're far from "owning" us yet. We got them their first few years, and they've gotten us back the last two, altho last year's game should've been a tie. way too much stoppage time was put back on( i was a SR. last year), but tahts for another post.

Look forward to hearing back from you.

Stewie1, you just wasted your post buddy ! Those guys from Blackman think they own everyone around but the truth is well known...they got nothing at all, remember last year they own everyone but still lost to Riverdale 2-1. Yes they made it to state but they got knocked out in the first round. Warren County has my respect because when they made it they were taking only 4 teams to the state instead of 8 they do now. Blackman has a good coach but he can not control his players. They are arrogant and disrespectful to people other players and coaches. They always talk trash on here and if you notice they open threads with a question and later they answer their question.

I rather be a country boy than a rich brat that has everything handed to them by mommy and daddy and have NO RESPECT for others.

In conclusion I like to add that they are not even that good on the field. They have a great keeper with a lot of class but some of the rest of their guys are trash talkers. #11 that writes all these posts is an attacker but can not score, Tyler Morrisey or whatever his name is has a bad attitude and he averages a yellow card per game and their right back is a thug want to be pushing and hiting people. One of their best players #2 does not even play that much for some reason.

When Warren County plays them be very careful because they will try to hurt you but other than that they can not score so you guys might be ok.

Such a heated discussion.......Stewie, who are you?

Your teammate for several years. You know man, you and I are two of those sorry players who don't qualify to be called soccer players because we didn't travel year 'round all the time. haha (tho, if memory serves me correct, we did have a traveling team about every year, but oh well)

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
