baseball47
Lets hear how teams did in there scrimmages this weekend. I think Oakland may have surprised Goodpasture Friday evening. Oakland sophmore Andy Berg struck out 6 and allowed only 1 run in 4 innings of work. Senior Tyler Bowman then came out strong striking out several and allowing only 1 run in 4 innings. Sophmore Eric Renfroe came in to close in the top of the ninth and allowed only 2 runs. Goodpastures pitching was also thrilling to watch. One of their left handers kept the Patriots in check for most of his 5 innings of work. Their defense always seemed to be right where the Pats would hit it. Oakland finally broke through about the middle of the game with a 4 run inning and went on to defeat the defending class A state champions 7-4. Way to go Patriots!
