I agree. AAA schools should always be able to put much better teams together that A schools. Heck, you pick the best of 3,000 rather than the best of 300.

 

But . . . the best atmosphere comes from single A schools. I'd go watch a single A game between two unranked teams in a small town gym over two AAA powerhouses in a metropolis cathedral any day.

I went to a small school (120 students) that won a state championship and it was great, and your right the community spirit, the atmosphere could not be beat. But they would not have won the AA or AAA championship.

I still think it was a payoff. No way that team beats Peabody straight up. We'll see who is calling off the dogs this year. After that shafting last year, I hope peabody meets Clarkrange..the lady tide will drop 90 on you 4 sure!!!

Don't give this person any bulletin board material, that is all they are looking for. They are probably about 13 years old and couldn't throw a basketball in the Ocean. No doubt that Peabody is a very good team. Clarkrange is more concerned about their next game to be worried about Peabody right now. Good game today girls. Peabody should win this title this year. Too strong..too quick..too conditioned. As far as contending in AA....well we will see next year because I think they step up to already tough 13AA next year I think.

I havent seen Peabody play but I seriously doubt they are any quicker or better conditioned than Clarkrange. I have seen Clarkrange play a few times and they have to be in great condition because the same players play the whole game and dont wear down. If these two teams meet, which they probably will, it will be a great game to watch and I seriously doubt that this one will be a blowout.

 

For all of you who think Peabody is unbeatable, they are not. No team out there is unbeatable, just as Wilson Central proved to Mt. Juliet. But all of this is just talk. We will all get to find out who the best team in Class A is Saturday.

If that team was so amazing then they could play throug hthe refs and win by 20, but they weren't. Get over your team. Yes they are good and have a very good chance to win the State Tournament, but that is what they have, a chance, just like the rest of the teams that are in it. So give it a rest please.

never said they are unbeatable...look at my post. Said they should win, based on seeing them play about 3-4 times this year. Then you might want to look at my motto...its only talk right now...it will be settled on the court.

Actually, gcfan2, Peabody will still be in 1A next season - 14-1A. But, you are correct that the lady tide are strong and quick. The Lady Tide played hard on Wednesday night against a very tough Coalfield team. Casey Jackson for Coalfield was a tough player. Teri Lumley told me that she is one of the best point guards the Lady Tide has faced all season. Peabody plays CPA Friday at 12:30 in the 1A semi-finals. Good luck Lady Tide!
