Yes! There are conference champs for the regular season. Then there is the District tournament. The two are separate. Central won the conference, but placed 2nd in the District tourney to Unicoi County.

you get nothing for having the best regular season record except the top seed in district tourney.....atleast thats how 12 AA is.

I like how it is in the East. The winner of the regular season should be awarded with something even though the district means alot more.

I read what Willie Kemp put in the papers about Central, saying that we looked good on film and said we must have had an off game. I think he is a class act. That was pretty nice of him to say that, when he could have ran us down. I have a lot of respect for that guy.

Coach Rudesill kept saying that too....he said yall had great shooters and he knew yall could close the gap quick if we took our big 3 out so thats why he left atleast one of them in for most of the game. they are bigger men than i am....i'll just tell you that yall stink....lol im just kiddin man

I would have to say besides the old Science Hill teams, last years White Station or last years Puerto Rico, you all are probably the best high school team I have seen play. I look forward to seeing Willie Kemp play in college, I just hope he doesn't go to Kentucky.
