TSSAA Rules meeting

Recommended Posts

Not online this year, coaches must attend area meeting.

T$$AA got into 21st century and then got right back out.

Because they do nothing they felt like coaches who are only a little busy as FB season starts need to go listen bad interpretation of the NHFA rules and waste time.

I agree. Ridiculous for a coach to have to miss practice to go hear them.

Great article Indian. I don't harbor any animosity at all towards the TSSAA...I actually think that they do a good job.

Except for killing A and AA schools in putting them with privates. My understanding is they are going to change football but make all other sports suffer for the full four years. TSSAA should split now!!!

If nothing is done soon it will be the rest of the classification period, three more years counting this one, at least. There should be no more need to study anything.

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
