You don't really believe that. Your team returns almost everyone from the team that beat us. You're poor mouthing. Your team is ranked....we are unranked. CC is the obvious favorite

CC sucks on defense look at the Clinton and Anderson County games. OR will stomp a mudhole into CC. OR deserves to be in the top 10 not Campbell County

Wtf? I hope you're not serious. Yes we returned a lot, but the 3 kids we lost are enough to go from being a really good team to a descent team this year.

I have to agree with this, Campbell County lost a lot more than what people think I beleive. Every one wants to look at the skill players and the offense, but what they lost on defense was huge

You nailed it as always Mav. We're skill position and secondary only this year. We may have only lost a few from last year, but they played a huuuge role on both sides of the ball last season.

Neither team really is top ten right now really Dave. We have played a dang cupcake schedule. I'll be glad when we finally play a team that is pretty good that we can really get fired up for and I think that will happen with CC

After your "cupcake" comment I did a little research and I found that 8 of the 12 teams ahead of us in the AP poll have also played a "cupcake" schedule. These are those teams and the records of the teams they beat.... Memphis East  11-22,,,,Anderson County  13-22,,,,Hillsboro  13-20....Tennessee High  9-12....South Doyle  9-16....Campbell County  9-18....Rhea County  11-18....Millington  13-20....      Our opponents so far are 8-19.....by your definition almost the entire top ten has played a "cupcake schedule"

Well, when oak ridge breaks the huddle and comes to the line they look like a college team. But I think they are kinda soft. Well soft may be the wrong word. They look intimidating but are really just above average at best. They sure look good with Higgins on one side and Middleton on the other but they just don't use them like I would. They'd both be all state at CC. I think oak wins but I'd be surprised if some of the blowout predictions come true. I'm thinking like 31-21.

After all Gaddis has had this game circled on his calendar for a year. Seriously? CC circled on the wildcats schedule? I guess when ur the only OR coach to ever lose to CC, I might circle it too. Lol. I mean CC circled for a year? I guess we've finally arrived !! Circled, lol. What a joke.

I just watched the playback of the game with Gibbs on the local community station and I watched the Gaddis post game interview. When asked about the upcoming CC game he said "I'm looking forward to the game and I'm sure we'll be ready when CC comes to town", or something real close to that. He didn't say anything about having that date circled.

Yeah I may have misunderstood that post game interview. Maybe it was the interviewer who said I bet the CC game has been circled on your calendar after last year. Gaddis must not have said that. I just remember it being mentioned. Maybe neither one mentioned it and I was just hearing things. Either way if I was Carolina I would take it as a compliment. It means CC has a team now that is worth being ready for. And your records of the top 10 does prove that they have all played cupcakes, so I stand corrected. Competition just really seems to be down this year minus a few good teams in the area. AC,CC, OR, West, and SD.

Clinton is good I think they go 7-3 and will be dangerous in the Playoffs you think I'm kidding but I'm not. 8-)

Clinton is decent. I wouldn't call them good. If they make the playoffs it will be because they have benefitted from a soft schedule like every other team in 3AAA. Just not a real strong district up and down. Karns had them on the ropes for awhile last night.

    • The Girls Basketball team I am a part of played for a gold ball this season. One of the biggest differences in the sports is that there is no field prep/maintenance in basketball.   Our baseball is successful and play 30 games in the regular season as well. All of the teams dedicate A LOT of time in preparing for their next opponent.
    • Im pretty excited about the new rules that NFHS voted to adopt. Does anyone know if this will take place in Tennessee starting this year? I think I heard/read somewhere that the TSSAA bi-laws say they have to mirror what the NFHS does, and when the NFHS offered the current weight classes as options, TSSAA didn’t adopt them until NFHS made them official. Did NFHS make these changes official starting next season or will it be similar to the weight classes where TSSAA doesn’t change what they are doing until it is  an officially official part of the NFHS rule book? It’ll be interesting to see if it is rolled out for the new TSSAA Middle School season and I saw a post where the youth wrestling in TN was going to vote on adopting it as well.  I’ll pray for all the youth coaches that will have to shoulder the confusion from all those crazy #### parents who already think they know the rules more than everyone else  . Imagine the first time their kid is taken down and a 3 goes up on the scoreboard or their kid gets pinned with only one point of contact in the cylinder. Their heads might explode. i kid, I kid. Sort of. I’m surprised ride time was brought down with all the other changes. I know some argue that it promotes stalling on top, but its been an official scoring method in college forever, so I figure it must be doing something right. Do any of you think that’ll ever be implemented?
