Beech @ Gallatin

A lot of people thought that Hughes was going to light it up when Beech played Hendersonville also.Beech's line doesn't get the respect that they deserve, they will pound you up front and string together 12-13 play drives that tires out a defense. You also have to look at the teams the Bucs have played so far compared to Gallatin.

Hughes was hurt and did not start against Beech with only 10 carries all game.  Beech DL & OL destroyed Hendersonville's in that game, however. Very impressed with Beech's team this year.

Should be a good Friday night for a slugfest between two good football teams. Crabtree always game plans very well for the Gallatin game. (Lassiter was the last HC to beat Beech, led by J. Hurd. I only say this because Beech seems to be the only monkey left on Mr. William's back) Should be some good exposure for some GOOD football players on TV this Friday night. But I still expect a large crowd at the game as well! Go Green Wave!

VanZant was injured and didn't play at all in the first game and very little in the second game at Rossview. It is definitely RB by committee between the three you mentioned.

I would like to see all the box scores for Beech. I would guess there are 5-6 that have carries from the HB position this year.

In 09 the Wave won a hard fought game at shackle island stadium in the regular season. The TB broke off a long run that ended up being the difference.

In the playoffs of that same year there were more ppl at that stadium that I have ever seen (Hville 12 would be the only game that rivals attendance). That still goes down as one of the best high school football games I have ever seen. Both sides absolutely played their guts out.

I'm in shock by how 1 sided this game has been the last two years. I was wondering why Gallatin isn't getting any respect but after seeing the scores, I'm not as upset by the lack there of. I knew Gallatin would have to play the best game to date but man that's a lot of recent history to overcome. Expecting a huge crowd and great game. Just glad it's in Gallatin. That also is only the 2nd time in 5 seasons.

    • I coach 3 sports in HS and can tell you that basketball is NOT the most time consuming. I'm not saying it doesn't take a lot of time but between basketball, baseball and football it isn't the most time consuming.
    • While I appreciate being credited with multiple accounts, I have to say that is not true. Will you please report back to your people that I am not someone who provides sharp, witty banter, but rather someone who is putting the shoe on the other foot for some people that have been repeatedly bashing others here and in real life for the past few years? Everything that I have stated has been backed by factual evidence or public record, so no need to be sharp and witty.
    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
