This game will be a big challenge because the Govs struggle to stop the run. We've traded defensive problems for new ones. Last year, we were solid at stopping the run, but we were hapless at defending against the pass. And wouldn't you know.... Last year every team in the region was airing it out like crazy and this year everyone is running the ball well. Just our luck

So the Govs can't stop what the other team is doing?

I'm saying our defensive weakness plays into the strengths of other teams. Last year, we sucked at defending the pass and most of the teams in the region were pass happy. This year, we have a greatly improved secondary and suck at defending the run and all of a sudden all the teams have a good run game. That's bad luck lol

Every teams weaknesses plays into their opponents. That's why coaches break down film and study it and why teams practice.

That's all real nice on paper, but it doesn't work out real well in reality unless you are an open zone school that has a regular flow of top talent coming in from all over Blount and Knox Co. Most teams are not balanced and lean heavily on the run or pass. Meaning, they are gonna stick with their bread and butter no matter what because they dont have the means to change their offensive identity from week to week to exploit another team's weaknesses.

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
