The Cougars are a very "junior heavy" bunch. Haven't heard much about Arlington but I would have to assume they are a solid team given their record and the teams that they play. Should be a great ball game. From what I have read looks like they are a passing team. How will the rain that is coming in effect the bunch out of Memphis ?

Good luck to both teams.....but more to my young Cougars !

QB is good, especially on the run. This kid throws extremely well on the run and receivers know to come back to him when he is scrambling. Def line is a little undersized, but overall defense is fairly solid. This team can hurt you with the big play and will go for it several times during the game. Will run the ball when needed.

One of the best QB's in the state.. Very solid team. Will be tough for Dickson if they don't cover passing game. Don't know much about Dickson but from the looks of it they do run a lot.

Dickson has seen plenty of these type teams it seems. Most of the Clarksville schools were very athletic and ran the spread offense. I think the Cougars will be prepared. And yes, Dickson does run a lot...Smash mouth football from the Cougars. I don't think that Memphis area teams see a lot of that and that may be advantageous for Dickson.

Arlington looks like a good football team. To reflect on previous posts the QB is a great player. He has a good arm seen him throw one 50-60 yards on the run across his body on a dime against Millington. Kid will scramble around in the pocket looking for the pass tucking it and taking it himself seems like his last option but will not shy away from doing so. They have a huge TE/WR could be a match up problem for DC. IMO the RB is very underrated. Seems to find a seem and find it fast he is a one cut and go kinda guy very shifty and not afraid to lower the shoulder for that extra yard. They will stay in the gun the entire game pass to run seems about 75/25...but they utilize the receivers in the short pass game as basically a second option for the run jailbreaks bubble screens things of that nature. #21 WR seems to find a way to get open often #4 seems to be the deep threat and jailbreak guy. O-line is tough and goes hard they work from the LOS to the second level very well and together. KOS has a good leg eliminated Millington from any sort of return game which will hurt DC if he can continue to do so. To wyattearp rain would be a good thing for friday's game would play in favor for DC. Could see them going to the big back set with #3 and #5 getting a heavy workload. This has the makings of old school vs new school run vs pass. Goodluck guys on both sides and a safe trip for Arlington.

quote from a famous futho....

When the foot frat and the foot ho's get together it can only mean one thing !

HIT EM IN DA MOUTH ! :roflol:

I think thats exactly what Dickson has to do to this Memphis area school....HIT THEM IN THE MOUTH! I think they will. From what I know (which is limited), Memphis area teams like to run the spread and use their athletic ability. Dickson is going to cram it down your throat. Don't think Arlington sees that very often, and I don't know if they can or how they will stop it. . I think Dickson wins 31-17. I could be wrong, because I'm not that familiar with Arlington.

You might be correct on the score but it will be in Arlingtons favor. I'm not that familiar with Dickson County but it looks like they lose when they play good teams and they win when they play average teams. Arlington is a very good team. Didn't Dickson Co. lose to another Shelby Co. school (not Memphis area like you seem to call us)in the 1st round of the playoffs last year. We will have strong support when we roll into town tonight.

    • I like Dyer.He is a great guy.But if he has back to back 2-9 seasons some heads will roll in my opinion.I think at worst they will have at least a 6-4 regular season.Dyer needs to get some better assistants in my opinion. But what do I know.Ask Chiefbigfoot he has all the answers.
    • I’m not really saying that I think Tennessee HS football is really all that good. I was just saying I didn’t really think that Corbin was a mediocre football team when Alcoa lost to them. Tennessee high school sports as a whole isn’t very good to be completely honest. They are good players who come from Tennessee in all sports but the overall quality of play and competition is par at best when you compare it to the rest of the country
    • Yeah corbin thats the team.  Yeah they are 4a now, but in 2017 they was 3a, and didnt win a title, and was steamrolled in there playoff loss.  They alo got beat by a 1a team that year just looked up there secedule.  Point is a 3a team in tennessee good enough to win a title should not be losing to a 3a team in kentucky that got whipped in there playoffs plus lost to a 1a team.  We always say tennessee football is far superior than kentucky, but our teams have not been doing a good job of showing it.  Ive always felt a 3a champion in tennessee is equivalent to about a 5a team in the weak bluegrass state, but the few games ive followed the last decade we have been getting whipped.  Blackmon to bowling green, alcoa to corbin.   The worst is when Union City played a team about there size named mayfield the same year they won a title, but got beat by like 40 and shutout.  Then that mayfield team doesnt win a title.  Ive seen far to many of our teams win a title, and the same dang year lose to a school from kentucky thats about equal in size that isnt even good enough to win a title in there state.  That mayfield team beat trousdale county one year, and it was trousdale only loss in like a 40 something game stretch, then that team gets whipped in the finals in kentucky. So no team trousdale played in there class can beat them for like 3 years, and they go undefeated against there out of class opponents in tennessee, but lose the one game they play against kentucky to another small school that is around there size.  Do u not think it looks bad when our number 1 team in a class plays a kentucky team thats the 2nd-5th best team in there class of similar size and loses.  Sure doesnt look good to me.  We always down kentuckys football, and say we r superior, but we have looked like a joke in about every game ive cared to follow when i thought its a great matchup.  Alcoa, union city, blackman, trousdale co ive seen it to many times.   I was all over that thread when union city played mayfield, and a coulple of those mayfield fans got on this board, and there was a good back and forth, between us in tn and the mayfield posters.  We was telling them how superior union city would b and how they would run it down there throats all night.  Of course the mayfield fans just said wait and c tennessee football is behind the times, then after union city got destroyed we looked stupid.  Aint noone on here thought alcoa would lose to corbin either and they did.  I dont care if it was in ot, do we do moral victories now?  Hay we can win 10 titles a row in 3a in our state, but the 1 time we play a kentucky 3a team we lose, but lets b happy it was only by a point in overtime to a team that cant win in any class they have been in in 40 years so lets celebrate that our champion cant beat there runner up who was beaten badly in there title game lets be happy about it.
    • Northview was very impressive last year. I think their draw cost them last year. They played South Side and Dyersburg and then Heritage. South Gibson, South Side and Dyersburg only two will go from the west. Will be a dogfight for sure. Like I said earlier, if South Gibson don't learn to score they won't make it to state. Will be interesting for sure.
    • Worst thing SC could do is get rid of Dyer. I agree with everything said above.
