  1. Doug Capella has applied for the job. He applied for the Cleveland job as well. He is chomping at the bit to be a Head Coach. A fine candidate for the Cannon County position.
  2. Besides Dobbs and Shoulders, who are some of the other applicants? I heard around 10 people have applied, but no names...Heard a rumor that a Beech coach applied?
  3. From what I have heard, I think Kyle Shoulders is the best candidate for the job. Some of the people rumored to have applied don't have any Head Coaching experience, and to see what Shoulders has done with the Bulldogs since he has been there is impressive. Winless for 7 years??? He comes in and turns the program around. If he has enough guts to go to that program and change the culture at RBS, Westmoreland would benefit if he gets the job.
  4. Thanks for gracing everyone with your knowledge once again. My predictions: #1- Siegel- Good group of players coming back #2- Oakland- Oakland was, somewhat, down this year. They will not be down two years in a row. #3- Riverdale- Good QB, but losing Davenport and Glover will hurt. #4- LaVergne- They're not at the bottom, no more. Losing the MLB hurts, but they're catching up with the quality of coaching that is in place. #5- Blackman- No I-Train, fewer wins. It's as simple as that. #6- Smyrna- Smyrna's talent level drops off big time, and it will affect the High School for years to come.
  5. He would be an excellent hire. He was part of the 1990 San Jose State team that won the 1990 Big West Conference championship. Then, he was picked up by the Raiders the following year. After retiring from the NFL, he came back to his roots in Tennessee, and has made an impact while coaching in the Middle TN area.
  6. Yes it is. He is the best kept secret in the coaching ranks right now. Rumor has it that he was spotted with his family at the Pizza Hut in Cleveland over the weekend. Odd, cause he doesn't live near Cleveland.
  7. Well if you want to talk about the type of coach Cleveland needs look no further than Doug Capella. This guy will take Cleveland to new heights. His no-nonsense approach to football is what Cleveland needs. His background speaks for itself.
  8. You say "we will strap it up and see what happens." I didn't think you were on the actual team. Good luck to you Friday night then, would like to see you in the open field with Mathers.
  9. After Friday night, Riverdale will be changing "Warrior Drive" to "Mathers Lane". Blackman- 35 Riverdale- 28 In Overtime.
  10. It's good to see Bolddust crawled out of his dumpster near the Beech area. Did Gallatin lay down in the 2nd half when they beat Beech in Week 10???????
  11. I have no idea why we are talking about this game. The real questions are: 1. How will Siegel matchup with Mt. Juliet in the 2nd round? 2. Will Oakland publish another YouTube video of McDaniel giving the greatest speech of all-time?
  12. Easy Milo8100456723229955...Let's not get too worked up over the fact that Blackman will be feared once the playoffs start. Everyone knows Riverdale doesn't want to face Mathers in the playoffs.
  13. This may be the saddest story of all time...It will be a similar scene this year when Riverdale loses in the playoffs.
  14. Typical Riverdale fan...your arrogance is displayed just like all the other Warrior fans; however, I'm not predicting LaVergne to upset Riverdale, by no means...I think LaVergne will give them a competitive game. If I'm not mistaken, LaVergne gave Riverdale a tough first half last year, and then it went downhill from there. Let's not boast on here talking about a mercy rule after the first quarter. Everyone knows that 99% of Riverdale fans think their poop doesn't stink, you don't have to remind us with your arrogant comments.
  15. What happened to Bills? And I thought the Sophomore, Fore, was backup QB.
  16. Is LaVergne starting a Freshman or a Sophomore? Either way, predicting a big win for the 'Rines Friday night. 28-13
  17. Yeah, let's get this started... Here are my predictions for 2011 1. Gallatin- Got to root for my Green Wave...they look better than last season, and think they will make a run for ol' Lassiter. 2. Lebanon- New staff, new attitude. The Blue Devils will be the surprise pick for 2011. You will be shocked. 3. Hendersonville- Brown at QB will lead Hendersonville towards the top of the district. 4. Beech- Great coaching staff will have their work cut out from them...could be finishing in top 3, but I have them at #4. 5. Mt. Juliet- Not quite sold on this year's group. 6. Station Camp- The inexperience factor will not be the case this year, with a group coming back with a lot of playing time. 7. Wilson Central- Agree with how bad they will be, and have to say they try to play with "attitude", and it's not quite the right "attitude." It's more of running their mouths, and not backing it up on the playing field. 8. Portland- enough said.
  18. Most annoying fans on CoachT rank: 5. Riverdale 4. Giles County 3. Goodpasture 2. Greeneville 1. Macon County
  19. I say your "goat" has a higher I.Q. than you.
  20. Thunder predicts a team full of rednecks will win this game...which group of rednecks, who knows?! Both teams will stink it up similar to their football careers in high school. Macon Co. Inbreds- 14 Smith Co. Cousins- 28
  21. I would look at the overall matchup record between Westmoreland and Macon before mouthing off about the two schools. And look at the overall tradition of the two schools. Granted, Westmoreland isn't the greatest football school, and don't have much to brag about...but they sure have Macon beat. Now back to the actual topic on this thread...LIPSCOMB wins easily... MUSTANGS- 41 TIGERETTES- 9
  22. Sounds like a true Oakland fan by the way you basically bashed every school on here besides Blackman. Riverdale will be good along with Smyrna. LaVergne will be better this year, and may suprise some teams.
  23. Coach Stanton Stevens is the new head coach and OC. Coach Stevens was the head coach at Knoxville's Austin-East High School in 1999, where he turned a down program around quickly -- winning a state championship in 2001 and earning Class 3A Coach of the Year honors and finished there with a 50-13 record. Coach Stevens then coached Oak Ridge with some "up and down" times between the years of 2005-08 and finished with a record of 30-16, taking them to the Class 5A state runner-up trophy in 05. Coach Bledsoe will be the DC. He’s a Veteran coach with both High School and Small collage experience in Virginia and Greater Metro Atlanta. Coach Grooms will stay on as the only remaining coach from last years staff as the DL/Strength coach Coach Duggan form Gallatin and coached at La Vergne middle last year will coach WR/DB's RB coach?????? but will soon OL Coach = Coach Stephens ….. "No Relation" Coached with LHS Track in the throwing events and played D1 football. Coach Miller will be the freshmen coach……all I know is he was at Steward Creek coaching last year Hope this helps! Coach Miller is the freshman coach at LHS. He is coming over from Stewarts Creek, where he was the Head Coach there. Bledsoe has a ton of experience in East TN, and down in GA...played football at Virginia Tech and coached college for a while. Duggin is from Westmoreland (not Gallatin), but it is near Gallatin. He coached at LMS last year, and will be coaching WR's at LHS. Stephens is from Ohio, played D1, and is very familiar with most of the players due to his track record at the school.
  24. Well I am making a bold prediction and predicting the following: 1. Westmoreland 2. Goodpasture 3. Greenbrier 4. Sycamore 5. White House 6. Macon Co. * Nobody realizes the talent Westmoreland has this year. They will suprise everyone and take the region. White House will be towards the bottom, maybe getting beat by the "Cousins" of Macon County.
  25. Here is the news...heard they have a transfer coming in from Alabama. He was a running back for a 3A school. Played Linebacker, and lead his team into the 3rd round of the playoffs. Coach Bradley is ready to lead the MIGHTY EAGLES to an upset over White House and claim the region title.
