I would like to let your fans know that the First Baptist Church in Sevierville is now filming the SCHS football games and posting them to the church website as a mission project and would like to invite your fans to go and watch the game again as many times as they would like. This is a free service to any who want to view. The games will usually be posted by Thursday night because there is some technical issues that we have been working through but the previous games have normally been up by late on Thursday night. Go to www.fbcsev.org, click on Watch and Listen, then click on SCHS Games. There is a registration process at this point but no charge. Then you can watch any or all of the games that you want. This is a great way for any of your relatives or alumni in other areas to watch some great football games. Please get the word out to your fans. There is a second gate, it is located about 50 yards to the right of the main gate and it is by a walkway that goes to the visitors side of the stadium. Lines are never long there. You have to go to the end of the field house and you will see it.

#25 is the one and he is fast. Finished 2nd at state with a 21.7 in the 200, and was anchor on the relay teams that finished 4th in the 4 x 100 and 4 x 200. (All 4 on these relay teams play football.) There is more speed than just #1 and #25. #1 was injured and did not run track last spring.

Just a heads up to DB fans, if you plan to come to the game on Friday you should plan an alternate route besides I40 exit 407. The Shades of the Past Rod Run is this weekend and traffic will be horrible.

Only if they can get accepted to a good school. Academic money is a lot more than athletic money at most colleges. Look at the number of good high school athletes that never see a playing field/court in college. Make sure that he is educated enough to get the financial aid. My daughter was a 3 sport athlete in high school and got her $106,000 scholarship on academics. Just sayin........

Pippen is going strong and has already signed with Carson Newman to play college ball... Sevier County only lost Parton and Takacs.... They should be stong this year if they stay healthy.

Ranger, The Bears fans travel very will. You should have a packed house on the visitor side and we are very supportive. Also, the Bears have nothing but the uttmost respect for your team and your coach. He has even been a guest speaker for the Bears Sunday School class. During football season, we have a special class only for members of the Smoky Bears Football Team so they know him and respect him. As for all the talk about ducking, those comments are from our neighbor in Jefferson County and I assure you none of the Bears fans feel that way. As an added bit of encouragement for our football team, our church provides a special Sunday School class specifically for our football team members and has inspirational speakers from the football community come in as guest speakers each week during the entire season. One of their favorites was Inky Johnson, who spoke this season. This is a special bonding time for the players and helps them to be leaders on and off the field through their spiritual lives as well.
