  1. Blackman and Lebanon with no representation? I smell a conspiracy.....
  2. Is this going to bump Cumberland County down to the 4A level? If so would that take effect for the '07 season?
  3. Thad Sanders- WR Franklin County
  4. Couple of guys who haven't been mentioned, Todd Campbell- WR from Franklin and Cass Barnes- QB from Tullahoma.
  5. If UT lets him get away heads need to roll....
  6. I really think that any team in the region will be able to beat any other team in the region with maybe the exception of Blackman, and I think they will be able to beat anyone besides Riverdale and Smyrna. I think that LaVergne may fall back just a tad as teams began to figure them out a little and play them more closely as the season wound down last year. I also think that Wilson Central will fall back especially if Majors isn't all the way back from his knee injury late last year. Riverdale figures to be down a tad, but will still be near the top of the region. Other that those three teams everyone else should be improved which should make for a great year.
  7. Lebanon has been very quiet about how their spring went...
  8. When is Siegels's Spring?
  9. There are a couple of different types of leg press machines. There are the pnes on an incline that give you a machanical advantage and there are the ones that are straight over your body that lessen the advantage the machine gives. I believe that Oakland has the second of the two. As far as weight lifting in the region talk goes the Bench, Squat, and Power Clean numbers are the most relavent.

If I'm not mistaken James Howse's son will be a sophomore at Siegel this year.
  11. When does Siegel plan on having their spring practice and any idea on who they will be scrimmaging? It should be interesting to see how Stockton and McCord perform against the older guys.
  12. Mikey you have lost your mind. They will beat more teams than that because they will be intimidated to play RHS, not to mention the many fine players they are returning. As good as last year probably not, 5-5 no way.

TJ, I personally I do not "worship" Burnett as you put it. One thing is for sure though he is substanially better than McCann at THIS point. Couple of notes on TDCman's post. #38= Amey, 42= Bragdon, and 19= Boyd.
  14. I thought I had heard that Tate had committed to UT.

    I'll agree to disagree.
  16. These guys have come out of the break and played great hockey during maybe their toughest stretch of the season, injuries and all.

A few random thoughts from the OHS scrimmage. I personally don't think McCann will ever be the answer for OHS at QB. He seems to go in the tank anytime a little bit of adversity hits. I don't know the kid, thats just what I see. People I was impressed with from the scrimmage: Griffith ( I don't think anyone will be able to single block him next fall,) Howse ( has come out of almost nowhere this spring,) Webster ( could be a big time battle at the FS spot this spring with either him or Polk? moving to another position,) Meadows ( I really think he has turned the corner and will be a very good player on both sides of the ball,) Valentine ( liked how he made holes and finished runs,) Amey ( a name to remember for the next three years,) Boyd ( played real well on O and D for a soph and,) Jackson? ( I like the way he runs the ball and the way he run supports from the secondary.) Guys I was a bit disappointed in: Taylor, Jordan ( for a guy that big and strong he seemed to be getting driven out from the NG position, but I was impressed with him on the OL and,) and Hazel ( his time away is noticable, he was the starter at FB coming out of spring last year and even started a couple of games there as a soph.) It was good to see the defense get goalline stands with the veterens and the young guys in there. Don't sleep on Beech their DL was VERY solid and they had some other nice players. Coach Crabtree will have those guys ready to defend their region title next year.
  18. I like your logic TNVOLS11. Lets see if I have this right Blackman figures to be a little better next year. Riverdale figures to probably be a tad down from last year. Last year the score was 63-0. Yeah that sure sounds like Blackman would be a winner against RHS this year. The best I can tell the closest the score should be is oh around a 42 point difference...
  19. Good game from the Preds tonight against a good team. Also great to see Legwand contribute, hopefully this will thrust him into a streak.
  20. Wow a 18-6 run in the second for SHS. OHS has to do something early in the third to swing momentum.
  21. They play he made against Brentwood for the long TD didn't look soft.....
  22. While I do believe much of the talk about Siegel's schedule is warrented, don't put Independence in that group as they figure to be a playoff team over in region 6 this year.
  23. I am not real sure, but I think Smyrna's freshman are something like 0-6. I am pretty sure Blackman's only win came against Smyrna. From what I hear Wilson Central's freshman are pretty good, but I don't know their record. Oakland still has to play Independence, Lebanon, and Wilson Central all on the road. Who did Riverdale's freshman lose to besides Oakland?
  24. I believe he isn't enrolling until the spring semester which makes him part of next year's recruiting class.
  25. Haven't been on all weekend and just thought I would post a few observations. 1.)If OHS had gotten ANY QB play for the first 3.5 quarters they would have won by a couple of scores, I hope the play of the last half quarter continues because it was what was expected before the season. 2.) OHS's Oline is getting better and did a pretty solid job blocking Sholey and picking up the stunts in the second half Friday night. If this continues it will make a huge difference in their ability to score. 3.) Cowan did a very good job in his first start as a FB, now they have two threats in the backfield instead of just one at a time. 4.) Friday was the first time OHS answered the second half bell since week one. FCHS played hard all night and will fight for a home playoff game in that region. If OHS will keep working, and believing good things will happen and happen soon.
