  1. Whats going on with Arlington and this news about players being suspended now for going to an alcohol fueled booster's party? I ask because apparently this is a new development with suspensions heading into playoff week 1...
  2. ?? Beech got the close win last year but Hendersonville is 3-1 against Beech in the past 4 meetings.. So that statement isn't factual at all.
  3. Will be interesting the next few years how the rezoning will affect the district. I feel like Station Camp is really the only school that can be hurt by rezoning. It looks like Hendersonville will be the team to beat for the years to come as their freshman team is incredible and is on a 16 game winning streak. Ton of athletes right now with even more on the way (especially from the Hawkins middle). Mt. Juliet is very young and strong as well and could pose a threat. Gallatin is a wait and see for me.
  4. Heard there's been more trouble at Beech with kids quitting and many failing a drug test. Anybody have any information?
  5. MJ is down by 10 against Hville. Hville is a very dangerous team when they're on their game. They already beat MJ and beech by double digits once this season
  6. Time to get it started guys.. Distict 9AAA seems to produce a state contender every year, and this year should be no exception. Last year, Mt. Juliet and Gallatin were the class of the district, with Mt. Juliet making a deep run to the 6A Semi-Finals led by an experienced squad, while Gallatin's playoff woes continued against Hendersonville, who made another deep playoff run, falling to the eventual state champion in the Semi-finals. Beech and SCHS made big strides last year, with a young and very talented Beech squad falling to cross-town rival HHS in the Quarters and a young SC squad making a trip to the the 2nd Round. This year things look to be different. Mt. Juliet should still be one of the better teams in the district, but is losing too many players to compete for the top spot. The Gallatin Green Wave loses a ton as well, and will be implementing a new system under a new coach. Even the biggest Green Wave fans will agree that this is a transition year at the Wave Yard. The top team in this district will more than likely come from the city of Hendersonville, with Beech returning nearly all of their players that fell in the 3rd round to a Hendersonville squad that brings back a good number guys in the trenches. Station Camp could be a dark-horse here with everyone that they return, but the jury is still out on their coaching staff. What are your predictions for this season? Im going with: 1) HHS/Beech* 2) 3) Mt. Juliet 4) Station Camp 5) Gallatin 6) Wilson Central 7) Lebanon 8) Portland *-The winner of HHS @ Beech match-up could be the difference maker in this district. Both teams return a lot of players.. The Bucs will have Hville at home which is often the difference in this rivalry, while HHS will be wanting to extend their streak to 4 straight over the Bucs.. This will be the district's marquee match-up.
  7. Please disregard this thread... A new 9AAA thread will be made in due time. 9AAA, being the best 5A district in the state, will be started in a more professional way. This guy cant even make a serious post, much less a serious thread.
  8. Cottontown? I've spoken to a teacher at KDDC Middle and they have told me that the future plan would be for the high school to be located there, which would pull from Beech and Station Camp. This is right in the heart of where all the new development is happening And where have you heard that Hville and SC would be going 6A in 2013? And this theory on Station Camp becoming the 'crown jewel' of sumner county and sending all the Gallatin kids back to Gallatin? I would say Hendersonville already holds that title, what makes you think the county wants for it to be Station Camp? In any case... i see this new school not effecting GHS or HHS, but would definitely take a hit for BHS and SC.
  9. No matter who comes out of that district, they will lose in Regionals year in and year out.
  10. Heard he will still be on staff, just stepping down as Head Coach..
  11. By far? HHS was leading WC by 9 points with 2 minutes left in the game, but ended up not closing it out and lost in the final seconds. WC also beat Beech by 4 i believe. So i agree that WC looks like #1 right now, but claiming that beech is #2 "by far" is yet to be seen. I havent seen anything to prove that Beech is better than MJ or HHS.. yet.
  12. With all of the new development in the area, it has created a problem for schools such as Station Camp and Beech. With Station Camp being a relatively new school, with all the development it has already become overcrowded and has forced the county to build on to the current school building. Supposedly, there will be a new high school in the area that would be located next to the Knox Doss at Drakes Creek Middle School. This middle school feeds into both Beech High School and Station Camp High School, but would become the primary feeder school of the new high school when it is built. This new high school would likely not effect either the Hendersonville HS zone (school pulls from 2 landlocked peninsulas), or Gallatin High School (distance), but would most likely affect Beech and Station Camp's athletic programs, especially in football. So, with Hendersonville, Beech, Station Camp, and Gallatin being within 15 minutes of each other and yet still being powers of the 5A football landscape, how would the addition of another high school in the area in the coming years affect the power that this area has in producing some of the top teams in 5A year in and year out?
  13. Whoever is saying that is an idiot... In 5A, the 9AAA district is considered the most difficult in the state. 2 teams from 9AAA have been in the 5A state championship the past 2 years. 5 teams from 9AAA made it to playoffs, and all made it past the 1st round... 2 have been knocked out by each other.. 3 teams from 9AAA are in the playoffs right now. So not only is 9AAA not weak, its actually the complete opposite... it is one of the top districts in the state without a doubt. Whoever tries to claim otherwise, is a fool..
  14. One of the biggest rivalries in the state. 9AAA is a powerhouse in 5A for obvious reasons, and these 2 teams are the class of the district, from the same city. Hendersonville has an impressive record at home, and has a great crowd (expecting 6,500). I see them winning this one, unless they are too banged up from the Gallatin game. Might come down to mistakes. Both teams are well coached.
  15. If Hendersonville wins, it'd be the 4th year in a row that they've had bragging rights. If you want to end it, you might want to end it now.. Most of the guys in the trenches for them are juniors.
  16. i expect Hendersonville to win this one fairly easily, but will probably lose in the second round to Gallatin. Hville has had the upperhand over Gallatin the past few years but wont have the horses up front this year to end the Green Wave's season again.
  17. Antioch will lose to station camp... So a mediocre #4 seed, Beech will most likely have home field advantage over a 5-5 station camp that probably doesn't deserve to be in the playoffs. Meanwhile a very powerful Gallatin team that ran the table except for 6A powerhouse Mt. Juliet, will be forced to play #3 seed and state runner up, Hendersonville. Unfair for Hendersonville and Gallatin in this scenario, because both teams are much better than Beech, who has a cakewalk to the state quarterfinals.
  18. Its a shame that 1 of 2 of the biggest teams in 5A, Gallatin or Hendersonville will be put out in the second round, when a mediocre team like Beech or SCHS will have a place in the quarterfinals.
  19. This is one of the biggest mess ups in the whole playoff system. Shame that 8 seed Station Camp will end up playing Beech and possibly winning after this, when Gallatin and Hendersonville will most likely have to play. One of the best teams in all of 5A will fall in the second round, while Beech or SC are playing in the quarterfinals.
  20. hhs is coming off a 35-3 win over station camp. predictions? This is also a huge rivalry game because the two schools are in the same city.
  21. hendersonville at beech!!! its on tv thursday.
  22. i forgot what channel it is supposed to be played on... i know its the same channel that goodpasture played on last thursday.. the game should be as emmense as the station camp game was.
