The vast majority of teams in most years have 3 or 4 really talented players and athletes. Some coaches depend on these few players to give them wins. They focus on them, they dote on them and game plan on these chosen ones. They are picked early and like clockwork every year. Makes life easy and it makes the coaches look like grid iron geniouses. And then the well dries up or you get a couple of injuries. It all goes to hades. The dominant teams coach Up the Whole Team. It takes a lot of time and effort. It is not for the lazy or complacent. But if you take the time, you will find those gems in the rough, keep the potentially talented on the team and increase overall morale. Otherwise.....

You sound upset. You should be happy that you get another week to whine and pout about DB's Defense.

I've listened to DB radio for the past 3 years. DB has never committed a penalty, opponents foul on every play and they should have 3 of those gold balls.

Used the clock to protect the point spread. SH won by 6 with the points.

Punishing a group for the transgressions of one or a few is a long tried and proven method to achieve an end result. It happens in sports, business and especially the military. Less likely to transgress again if you feel the wrath of teammates. The kids know how this works. If that is the cause of desertions, then they probably don't have what it takes. Try again.

Maybe someone can post a video from the good old days and everything will be good. ps On the other hand, just think of all the High School football fans DB is making happy all over East Tennessee. Way to go Govs. Enjoy it.

Or better yet, do what Kingsport did and annex thousands of homes without consent. They get lots of new football prospects. The prospects get absolutely great garbage service, but it costs them 2 or 3 grand a year.

Every time I read "shut up" it makes me want to scream. Should they close CoachT, with the exception of Friday nights? Critiques of coaching is part of all sports and doesn't necessarily show lack of respect for a school. If you can't handle it, you shuould probably find another profession. Go Toppers!

I wouldn't put much stock into that Betsy rivalry game. Last year SH won over Betsy by 7, yet beat WB by 37.

That's too bad. I know there are lots of good people over there that have stood with them through the hard times and cheer for them no matter what. They're just not on here. They'll get it turned around. No offense, but your old Eastman friend should have gotten out of those fumes sooner.

But when they do, it is usually in spectacular fashion. ps Just curious. Why do you post in support of DB, no matter the issue, but continuously rag on your namesake Blazers?

It's not SH. I don't think some on here could care less about football. It's a weird obsession with Coach Carter. Everybody knows SH and DB have switched places in Football. Probably for years to come. So you get the "Maryville beat you". Yeah, that's a great argument. Then you get the rumor, innuendo and personal attacks. Typical for the simple minded.

It is obvious, from your postings, that you haven't been around too many teachers and have no idea what they do or put up with every day. You wouldn't last an hour. Perhaps you could direct me to the proof that "DB doesn't have good coaches at some positions".

Don't know him or his computer, but find the rankings extremely accurate by the end of the year. But, I'll go with whatever also.
