  1. Congrats to White County coach Eric Mitchell on getting his 500th win against Upperman last week.
  2. 31 threes in a game is the state record set just a few years ago by White County AT Rhea County. The record before that was 23 in a single game.
  3. Ms Mc probably happy tonight. Hehe
  4. The last 10 games is 6-4 in favor of the Warriorettes.
  5. Correct. It was Kellie's Junior year(93-94) when we were ranked #1 for several weeks. I still have a copy of that newspaper. She tore her acl in a scrimmage against Macon Co. just before her senior season(94-95) started. She had approximately 45 points at the end of the game, but unfortunately they talked us into playing one more quarter. That's when she tore it. I was there at the scrimmage that day. She was back on the court amazingly very late that same season.
  6. Or you can just come to Sparta Friday and look at all of the banners on the wall showing the number of times we've made the state tourney. Cookeville has what........one? Hehehe
  7. We rolled off at least 20 in a row from the late 80's until the late 90's so theres that. Not counting the domination of people like coach Bill Slatten in the 50's and 60's. He won like 60 games in a row 3 different times and owned the STATE record for consecutive wins(70 or 80 in a row) until Bradley beat it in the 70's. So you know we dominated then too. I wish Pistol was still with us. She would have alll the numbers. Not bad for a school less than half the size of Cookeville.
  8. Thank you. Your posts usually make me laugh. Your hatred and JEALOUSY of little ole Sparta(we are little compared to Cookeville) is evident. I LOVE it. Haha. Saying Cookeville being 6-2 over us lately is like Vanderbilt bragging about beating Tennessee in football 5 of the last 9 years. If you look at the ENTIRE history White County has DOMINATED Cookeville. You know it. I know it. Friday should be a pretty good game. I wish i could be there. Go Warriorettes!!!
  9. I know all about this District. I first started going to White County games in the late 70's when it was LA, Cannon, Smith, York, Dekalb, and White County. We know what good competition is.
  10. LA has played a few cupcakes so far. Just sayin.
  11. I'm just happy we beat a solid team on the road this early in the season. LC only lost 8 games last season. I don't know how many players they lost from last year, but they started at least 3 seniors last night. From what i saw i believe LC will get 20+ wins and have single digit losses.
  12. I just got the call about renewing my White County season tickets that I've had since 1983. I'm in basketball mode now. Go Warriorettes!!!
  13. Ok. Thanks. I was just curious since my alma mater(White County) will be in the same District next season.
  14. Since Macon subbed very little do they not have a lot of talent coming up next season?
  15. Agreed. Macon was the best team i saw play last year. Every classification.
  16. White County's Cade Clark(SR) has knee surgery today for his torn ACL. Sending good vibes his way.
  17. I remember playing Cleveland in Cookeville(a tourney of some kind) when Yarbrough was playing. He had a great dunk on us. Seems like we were up 20+ at one point.
  18. Baker had already graduated when White County won the substate at Cleveland in 98. I was at that game in 98 as well. I personally wouldn't call it an upset. I'm pretty sure we had beaten Cleveland the year before when they won the State.
  19. Miller might swing it 25 points. The PG maybe 10. We just played Stone on Monday and they were pretty much the same team since they have Miller.
  20. True, but she wouldn't make a 25 point difference(in my opinion).
  21. I'm not shocked at the outcome, but i am SHOCKED at the margin. I really thought that's how bad Cookeville was going to get beat by Bradley. Crazy!
  22. I haven't attended a single game this season for the first time since 1978 or 1979. Its been weird. Stupid covid.
