GFD, I don't think you or OnB are downing the team at all. I get the frustration. To a certain degree, you aren't even downing the coach really, but the situation ... or the reason for the situation, I guess I should say. When something like this happens at a school without tradition, then no one really notices. But when it happens to a place like Greenback, if it happened to us, then there would be a lot of frustration. Can you imagine Alcoa or Oakland going through what you all are going through?

They are. I'm thinking that will open up a whole new can of worms for the TSSAA.

If two teams from the same region meet up then the higher seed would be the host. So in this case it would be at Coalfield.

I'm thinking of taking Bledsoe in this one. The 3 1/2 hour drive is the part that makes me question myself though.

That is possible. If so then they'll be 2A. The person on the staff I talked to may not have known the rule, or thought they would stay just under it.

They'll definite get better. As for classification, I was talking to one of their staff earlier in the year when we played them, they seem to believe they will stay 1A.

Dresden is a good choice. Right now, I actually think they've got the best shot at winning it all. They will be more battle tested.

I know you guys have hovered around 2,000 per game that listen online this season. But since you have to pay to watch NFHS, I don't think those numbers would be near as high. Like you said though, I would bet the possibility of the crowd would be one reason. Also, I don't know about now, but during covid there were some pretty stringent rules about the cameras that kept a lot of schools away from it

After that play, he carried the team the rest of the night. I also remember after the game seeing an older gentleman from Hampton's side walk into the field after the game and make it a point to talk to Robert and tell him just how good he thought his performance was.

And, it's been a while since we've had "one" back. Spreading the ball around so much doesn't really allow any certain one to stand out. But then we have quite a few so it needs to be spread out.

Lol. I walked into the stadium beside him at the Tennessee / South Carolina game. I thought the way he talked (voice inflection, etc.) was an act. Nope, that's how he was talking then too, without any cameras on him.
