  1. Only one that it could be within county among current HC would be Rathbone at Page. I don't know if he fits Ravenwood mold.
  2. Will the TSSAA allow them to compete in the national championship tourney?
  3. Also add in 5 previous HCs on staff could be a potential hurdle. It is easy to follow GQ when he was the HBC but will there be any potential problems having a young man giving the direction? This is no knock on Coach Hunt, but from an outside observer that could be a potential obstacle that I am sure he will overcome if there is an issue. I would venture to say Hunt was recommended by GQ and that carries a lot of weight.
  4. One of the most successful counties in the state for high school football recently will be putting all their county teams on display in one place on one day next year. Friday WCS AD Jeremy Qualls announced the Williamson County jamboree will be played at Nolensville High on August 11th starting at 4. Matchups include Centennial vs. Nolensville Ravenwood vs. Summit Brentwood vs. Page Fairview vs. Franklin Independence vs. Blackman Should be a great night of high school football.
  5. This hire had me scratching my head after reading the resume of the coach. Seems to be a nomad who has had average success at his stops. I guess he had an in, I would think this job would attract some big names.
  6. 1. Alcoa- the F5 did not disappoint in Cookeville and showed they will be the class of 3A for quite sometime. 2. Elizabethton- the Cyclones proved to be Alcoa's toughest test, as they move to 4A who will even challenge the F5. This team was a player away from beating Alcoa. 3. Liberty Tech- Another team who is exiting 3A after this season and they made the most of their 2016 campaign. Coach Turner continues to grow his program and take it to new heights. He must start getting more depth if he wants to continue the success. 4. The Squatch- I was not high on them this year because traditionally valley teams have not been very strong. They gained my respect with their showing against Alcoa. They deserve recognition for the tough, physical style they play. 5. CPA- I was high in the Lions all year because I knew the talent they had on the team. This team will move to Division II next year and will compete for the state title. Coach Martin and staff are class acts. 6. Dyersburg- The Trojans gave Liberty a big scare in the quarters and this team continued to improve each week even when their horse in the backfield was injured. 7. Goodpasture- Coach Joslin has done a great job getting the program turned around. They battled CPA twice this year and almost made a semifinal appearance. 8. Milan- Coach Morris keeps putting a quality team on the field. Losing to Dyersburg set up a Liberty match up in the 2nd round and the Bulldogs are not a great match up for the Crusaders style. 9. Stratford- the Spartans won a lot of close games this year. Their luck ran out and they were hit by the injury bug at the end of the season. As long as NPA exists they will be a tough squad in 3A. 10. Fairview- The Yellow Jackets put together an 11 game win streak until Goodpasture for hot in the 4th quarter. Coach Hughes continues to build a quality program in western Williamson County with four 10 win seasons in the last 7 years. 5 of the top ten teams will not be in 3A next season.
  7. Sorry for the delay guys. I am going to pass the baton back to FvHSJacket next year as my new job takes more time and I lose track of my fun things to do. Great competition again. Congrats to BPM on the big win. Nothing like a well respected poster winning our yearly competition. Below are the final standings so make sure you refer to BPM as the 3A guru for the next year. Also we bid farewell to some of our good friends at CPA who will be making the move over to the Divison II ranks next year. Good luck to the Lions as they have a talented squad returning. 8. Very impressed with #19 from Farragut. I thought he looked more poised and seasoned than Wallace from Sevier last year. He does an excellent job stepping up in the pocket and delivering the football when faced with pressure.
  9. First, I am not part of Indy's fan base and secondly, they were running the ball just fine in the first half.
  10. I thought Yates was most impressive player out of all three games today.
  11. In the 2nd half, Farragut had three down lineman and 1 LB in the box, why are you not running the football every play? My answer is because Blade is too arrogant and stubborn. He is the reason for the 2nd half meltdown, not taking anything away from Farragut because their coaches made an adjustment and Blade refused to counter.
  12. This loss is on coach blade and his refusal to run the football. He did the same thing two weeks ago against cane ridge and almost lost the game then. When the team puts four defenders in the box and you still throw the football you're just asking for bad things to happen
  13. Giles is more like Ole Miss the way they rack up TSSAA sanctions. 😎
  14. Congrats to CPA on a terrific season. There were a lot of doubters but you guys have talent and great coaching and that means deep runs in the playoffs each year. Good luck in Division II next year. Liberty time to get introduced to the F5.
  15. No idea how TD does not have more offers from the Power Conference schools. The kid can flat out play, reminds me of Zach Cunningham from Vandy.
  16. If Trez doesn't have Richardson next week, Marion will boat race them.
  17. Props to Waverly for battling to the end. I like my crow warm with Tobasco sauce this time of year.
  18. Can't believe the 85 bears have given up 26 in a half.
  19. Those blue colored glasses are thick Ambassador. Don't worry about it.
  20. I know plenty of coaches who are goods friends and support one another but they don't come riding in on the team bus. Just wouldn't sit well with me especially if that school is known for pulling players in from around northern middle Tennessee.
  21. BDP is dead, especially when the WH coach was seen traveling in the playoffs with another midstate school.
  22. Don't you guys know this Waverly team is the 85' Bears? No holes at all. How dare we think this team could give up multiple TDs much less get beat?
  23. Prayers to the Knox Central community. Just read the sad story on the Tennessean about what you guys have been going through this week. Safe travels from Knoxville to Middle Tennessee. Truly think this could be the best game in the state Friday night.
