Their base offense is spread. They will go 2 x 2 and Trips with or without a TE. Sometimes will put two backs in the backfield to run power or zone read. The name of the game for them is getting the ball to their playmakers in space. QB does a great job with reading the zone read if the defense is not doing their job responsibilities. They will try to stretch the field off play action. They struggle if the opposing team wins on first down putting them in 2nd and long scenarios. They have big play potential and normally hit on those big plays when teams are out of position due to their fast pace of play. Teams that can man up on the outside and let their front 7 get pressure and play run defense give them the most trouble.
Defense they run an odd front with two solid, physical LBs who come down hill. Also will mix in a 40 look for teams that like to run spread and empty They work well as a unit but they can be out schemed if coaches identify the right spots in their defense and if they have a weakness it is in the secondary.
