Thanks alot Coach Chris, your kind words mean alot to us. We've improved alot from the beginning of the year to now, and hopefully we'll continue to improve with hard work everyday in practice. There was alot of trash being said in the game coming from both sides, but that just shows how competitive each team is because neither one wanted to lose. After the game many players apologized for whatever unsportsmanlike comments they may had made, so hopefully no hard feelings for either team still remain. By the way, The keeper is only as good as his defense, and my defense is AWESOME!

Fine... I'll come out from behind my "User Name". I'm the keeper for McKenzie. I don't post much though because I'd rather not make a mockery of my school or my team if I make a mistake and post something that shouldn't be posted.

I thought the camp was very fun and educational. I learned alot and had alot of fun. Its definitely something I'm planning on attending next year if they hold it again. Good job overall in my opinion.

And take off the caps lock. I tend not to read posts that are in all or almost all caps lock. The less educated people seem to have a habit of using Caps Lock too much.

I don't have an answer to either one of those questions. I got my brocheure from my coach about 2-3 weeks ago. I can tell you that I had to send my application to... TREY TEAGUE TRENCH WARRIORS c/o Teague Sports 25-G Stonebrook Place, Suite #177 Jackson, TN 38305 Maybe you can get a brocheure by mailing a letter asking for one. I don't know. Be creative .

Since I'm going the that camp, I'll give you all the information I know. Who: Rising 9th-12th graders When: July 16th and 17th Where: University School of Jackson, Jackson TN Time: 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. Cost: $60 for Campers and #10 for Coaches..(Includes lunch for 2 days) Phone: 731-660-3180 Fax: 731-660-3090 What to bring: Cleats, Tennis Shoes, Signed Release Form, and Proof Of Medical Insurance. That is off of the brocheure I was given.

Well McKenzie returns Drew Hayes and Cody Cook as offensive leaders in the backfield, and bring back 3 starting linemen in Ben Boyd, Paul Edwards, and Shawn Luna. Also, They bring back TE Clint Anderson and WR's Randy Lacey and Greg Pruitt (Sp?). They should return a pretty solid team, but we will see when we get into the season.

McKenzie loses no one. Not one senior on the finishing team this year. I think they will be pretty good next year.

Me and the other players on then McKenzie JV team have some personal experience with this.....A teammate of ours was hit in the eye/eyesocket/nose and had to have surgery to repair it. This was on an ACCIDENT pitch from a JV pitcher. If that can happen from a JV pitcher, imagine what can happen with a hard varsity pitcher throwing at you. If that was to hit in the right place, there would be major damage. I don't care how much he shows you up, its a game. Talk on the scoreboard. If you send him to the hospital and find out that he has serious damage, imagine how you'll feel. I can guarantee you you won't be saying, "Glad I showed him not to mess with me." You'll be wondering why you ever thought of doing that.

When the thread says "Best Freshman Team", I tend to think the team, not always the players. The "Freshman Team" around here is the JV team. Some sophmores are on the team, so what? If you sit the bench in varsity, Why not get your fun in a JV game? The guy I was speaking of played for Camden's JV team. Therefore, I listed him as a best freshman team player.

I wish in that news article it told the individual performances. I know I would like to be able to compare players from team to team, especially since a lot of players from around the area I follow went.

Me either...The guy who got hit was Britton McCann. He is one of my good friends. He had surgery a few days ago to fix his nose. His eye has red blood spots on it. Look sorta like Terminator lol....But he'll be alright. It'll just take some time to heal. I know the guy who threw that had to feel bad though. Even if I hit someone in the leg I feel bad, I can't imagine hitting someone in the eye.

lol...I wouldn't doubt it. We were making fun of the pitcher who threw that for the longest time. Coach Kee kept sayin that you couldn't throw it belt high over the middle everytime or it'd going to go deep.

Kirk Swearigen - I heard that he is going to UT from a friend of mine that goes to East Robertson.

lol, And a shot that was. The first ball he fouled went just about as far but it tailed left and went out. The second one was gone before our pitcher threw it. There was no way he was staying in the park.

Im not sure who it is, but Camden has a very good player on their JV team. He hit a bomb off of us in our JV game with them.
