I played with a lot of the boys on LA. But I have seen and heard of a few problems this year. I think one of the biggest things is, no one has stepped up and took the leadership role yet that a lot of seniors combined to make last year, some more than others. I think not having Levi Holt for there first few games hurt them, I see Holt as a leader, but it is hard to do that when you cant be out there on the field. Holt is expected to be back this week and he comes into a really tough situation, against a good Knox. Catholic team. I think the team just has to take it one game at a time, and everyone has to work as a unit. No matter who is on that field, they need to be able to look in their teammates eyes and know that person is going to do whatever it takes to make the play. I wouldnt doubt this LA team yet. There was a lot of doubters for last years team early in the season cause the region we got put into, but there was a lot of followers toward the end of it. Could be a repeat story who knows. Go Hog-Eye.

First off whoever said DL was clearly the better team your crazy, people have already broke down the scores so I dont think I need to. Also, it did not seem like DL could handle the pressure that Livingston was offering toward the end of the game. So before we had a chance to tie the game, the worst ref I have ever seen, threw a big T on Coach Melton. Yes, during the game clearly both coaches were out of the box and there was very very skeptical calls on some of the LA players. There was plenty of times were LA post players went straight up and never moved but it still seemed to be a foul. I am a disgusted on how this game was called. As far as I am concerned the final score was LA-28 DL-13..like someone said we still got that one on you.

All I know as a player of the '05 Cats we still look up to a lot of the old teams. We always look back at the 97 highlight film and remember how good those boys were at the time. We only hope one day someone will look back and say,"Hey man lets put in the 05 highlight film and watch how good that team was." That would be a great honor for me as a Cat player. So all the older players on here 97 or whatever team it is an honor to play for the state title this year and we want all of you to cheer for us and feel like this game is yours as much as it ours.

Someone may have already said this but look at it like Friday Night Lights. Hype is something that is not true. There is no hype here Trousdale will dominate 1A. They beat LA and maybe Smith Co. if I am not mistaken.

I think Jones fits in at the fullback position. A lot of people wanted to see Colson at tailback last year. But Jones and Colson are both big and strong. LA runs their plays for the fullback well and with their size and speed they are players that can get through the whole break a tackle and then have one man to go before touchdown. With Colson doing it so well Jones was about his size so he fit in their better. Why take Vaughn from a position he had been playing so long. Reeder is also a good back and Jones is now seeing some time on Defense.By the way LA 28 Ae 21

I dunno who will win this one. I am a LA fan though. They were beat by both teams in good games. Fulton talks a lot of trash though and they are the defending champs. I would like to see LA pull past AE and Fulton past Knox. Cath. So LA can have another shot at Fulton. But it really doesnt matter. But Fulton is playing well I will take them when they get to the playoffs they know how to play and how to win. Two championships show that.

Fulton is definetly a cocky team. But Cobb was a vocal leader on the field and held his team together against LA to rally back the 2nd half and beat them. Fulton had played against tough teams in tough situations. They will beat Seymour and advance to the 2nd round.

LA will win. LA does not care who they play they are coming to play football. LA has some things to work on with mental errors like they had against Fulton, but they will be okay. They will be fine come Friday. Carter better be ready.

This will be a good game, but it comes down to what many have already said. How well can the offense and defense of LA execute. The offense needs to control the clock and keep Fulton of the field. The defense just needs to stop the big plays and force Fulton to punt. LA knows Fulton is not overlooking this game because LA is 5-4, this game decides Fulton future, they know they have to win and we know Cobb and the rest of the Fulton team will be more than ready.

This game will just be who wants it more, regardless that they are not in the same region anymore it is still a rilvary game in the eyes of LA. Whether Smith Co. is the team they were last year or not it does not matter they will play Livingston hard and Livingston better not let up. Smith Co. is coached very well.

Livingston wins big.

It should be a good game between LA and Austin East. Though LA hasnt lost in awhile at home and it is homecoming dont expect them to lose this one in a couple of weeks.

I believe LA was and still may be underestimated in there new East Tennesse region. THey might not be as underestimated now that they played toe to toe with Knox Catholic

LA has the heart of any football team past or present. They have players that just wanna win its not about who gets the ball, they practice hard and stay mentally prepared. Livingston will do good in this region they went toe to toe with the team to beat and Knox Catholic knows that. LA is for real.

I will say this to, if LA can ever put two complete halfs of football together than I believe they can be unstoppable. Last night they were only able to put the 2nd half truly together and look what they were capable of I will be looking forward to them putting it together later on in the season against AE and Fulton.

I can agree with that, and #33 showed he had some hands for a tight end. Glad to see he finally got him a few grabs, I am still proud of the blue and white.I will be looking for an 8-2 season now.

Just be glad you do not play either one of those teams for the first time or again. Yeah you beat LA in week 1, take it and be proud and be thankful you dont play LA again.because LA did dominate like said earlier

LA did lose tonight, but being down 24-7 in the second half and finding the heart and ability to make it a 24-21 game, I find that amazing and awesome. LA had something to prove and even with a loss I believe they proved it. This team is showing they have what it takes to play with East Tennessee Football, Knox Cath can back us up on that. I really hope Hog-Eye gets another shot at them later on in the playoffs. For #22 H. Smith your a good player on both sides of the ball. Best of luck to you and the rest of the team.

Whether this is the biggest game in the state or not...To the players it is the biggest game. From what i have heard both teams are good on both sides of the ball. Livingston special teams was improved last game and of course that will help if they dont allow a kick or punt return. I truly believe this game is going to come down to the heart of the players, I dont know much about the Knox Catholic players, but I do know that LA players pack a lot of heart coming into each game. Every player on that team will be ready to play come Friday. I believe this will be a good game I dont have a prediction for the score.

Anyone got any predictions on this can the newcomer to the region LA pull an upset or what?

LA will take this one there defense is awesome and its just going to get better. Everyone had their doubts about this wildcat team at the beginning of the year. But the fans are getting behind us that coaches have faith, and the players are just like family. LA is looking forward to this friday and the backfield will put up their yards like always but after this. LA will get a chance to prove themselves against the team to beat right now Knox Catholic. they just better stay focus on SC for this week then worry about catholic. And yes special teams does have to improve for livingston

You have to be kidding me with this post. Just let me restate a few things people have already said. You take away the turnovers and this is a 49-12 game or something close to that nature. Kingston was lucky they put up that much. That kickoff was a blown play they were subs and some of them was never on kickoff. Also, cheap shots, I seen plenty of times where Kingston was grabbing at face mask trying to pull helmets off, cheap shots to players in the back, and I also seen Kingston do it to Harriman. Stop your whining and just be glad you didnt get beat worse. I dont know if you are a player of fan. But good luck to the Kingston Yellow Jackets with the rest of your season.

Jones showed a lot of heart and toughness tonight and I am with Sleep Cates was Cates tonight nothing new from this kid he always gives a good show. Vaughn was exhausted when you got a player that plays everysnap offense,defense,special teams, You have to find a way to get him a break. Special teams is where LA got beat tonight thats for sure.Also, LA goes 2 for 3 passing. Anyone tell me why there was just 3 attempts and not more. I believe LA has to pass a little more in the region they are in this year. Good luck to the cats the rest of the year and also to the yellow jackets, Trousdale played a good all around game win state in 1A
