  1. 2. Many schools video stream their games and some are even on TV. Many have instant replay. I'm sure you ment that there are no plays "under review" 3. Have you ever listened to or watched a HS game? Commercials are played. Select tv games and all state championship games do have "tv timeouts" that are longer then the alloted times during a regular season game. As one who is in the broadcast industry, I wish there were more media timeouts. It costs money to broadcast a game on radio or videostream. We need time to air commercials so you can watch or listen to a game on radio or TV, or online 4. Are you absolutely sure? I get what you are trying to say and I mostly agree with what you say except in a few instances.
  2. You beat me to it. And I agree.
  3. The winner of the Columbia Academy at Nasville Christian game, barring upsets, will win the D2A middle region championship in my opinion. This is a huge game with ultra serious playoff implications on the line. This contest deserves an SRO crowd. It is definitely the GOTW in D2A and a very big game otherwise.
  4. Dude, you criticized me cause I said the game in question will be a mercy rule game and said it is not GOTW worthy. It's as simple as that. I gave you a logical response and like a little kid who is told no, you still go on and on. Then you tell me I should "file a complaint with the TSSAA". I assume you are talking about me complaining about one RHS fan blowing a horn as we snap the ball on several occasions. I did contact a friend of mine in the TSSAA office to find out what rules are in place. Sadly, the TSSÀA did away with the artificial noise rule for outside events during regular season games. They are still illegal in the post season. A game official (white hat) can force a stopage to the use of artificial noise makers during a regular season game if he gets a complaint from a head coach of the affected team. That was done last Friday and official refused to do anything. Nothing can be done so I'm going to let it go now. As far as sweeping something under the rug, I'm quite sure I know what you are talking about. You might just want to sit down and hush as two different companies broadcast videos from the game clearly show you are barking up the wrong tree. Anyway, I'm done dealing with you brother. Good luck to your team the rest of the season.
  5. Has that Dillard man gone off with that Fair man to climb his pole? Y ou think I'm joking but I'm not.
  6. I look at a team's body of work. No offense to FACS but their schedule to date has not been impressive when considering considering the overall results of their opponants sans WC. I will once again speak slowly so that you might understand. I NEVER complained about the crowd at Riverside being too loud. Not once. What I did complain about was one RHS fan who at key moments would blow a high pitched air horn right as we snapped the ball on several occasions in an attempt to influence the outcome of a play. He succeeded on two consecutive plays. A loud crowd is part of the game and I wish more crowds were like that. Using artificial noise makers like high pitched air horns to distract the opposing team should be illegal and is at the least very unethical. By the way, as soon as the game ended, I publicly congratulated RHS players on a couple of forums and personally congratulated several RHS fans while walking out of the facility. With the exception of the air horn blowing, my experience at RHS was very pleasant and well documented. If my prediction is correct, you could eat crow by saying I was correct as you have taken time to criticize me. I will be more than willing to eat crow should I be proven wrong on the field. Good luck this weekend.
  7. Dude, you should know what your talking about. The point of the discussion I was having had nothing to do with the records of teams my school has wins against. I'll speak slowly for you. 5 games were listed as West Tennessee GOTW. My point was that there were better games to choose instead of ONE of the picks that guy made. Nothing more, nothing less. The owner of that site did ask the question, "What do you think?" That question is inviting responses is my interpretation. I gave a response and he didnt like it. Your school is familiar to the opponant of JCS this week. They beat yall 19-14. Until Friday, your team was the toughest opponant FACS played. Outside of your team FACS has outscored their other opponants 259-17 and those teams have combined for 4 wins on the season. I will stand by my statement that the game in question will be a running clock. If it is not, I'm man enough to come back and eat my crow. If I'm right, will you do the same?
  8. JCS will mercy rule FACS in the first half should they want to. Let's be honest, outside of JCS,TCA, and FA, the schedule FACS has is full of teams you would schedule for homecoming.
  9. You could have gotten them from my West Tennessee Sports Facebook page. Had all of Friday nights state widescores and current standings for west Tennessee posted before I went to bed.
  10. TCA is 3-2, not 3-3. Not very sure I would be too impressed with the JCS blanking of TRA as the Rebels schedule has been marshmallow soft. Have not seen tape of game but I imagine JCS tapped the breaks on their offense Friday.
  11. Not really sure what to think of this game. Outside of Ensworth for UC, Dresden has faced 4 quality opponants and won easily. I see UC with only one win over a quality opponant in Dyer Co. Strength of schedule certainly favors Dresden overall. Dresden has to have improved alot over when I saw them in the pre season. Unless something drastically changes this week, I lean towards Dresden in this game.
  12. Perhaps the Riverside "HORN" Section will leave his instrument at home next Friday.
  13. Congratulations to Riverside. I was impressed by the work of I think #55 for RHS. Strong kid. Blocks aggressively and well. Your QB had great trickery running with the ball and had poise when under pressure. I think many would say RHS does not win tonight without him at the helm. As a team, you faught back from adversity and being punched in the mouth hard. Us sweatervesters can throw down when needed. LOL. Going forward, i believe both teams grow from this game. Your security people treated my partner and I with respect and they got me a much needed close parking spot. Yalls coaching staff and press box people treated us good too. The jumbo dogs were on point as well.
  14. Thank you for your kind words. They are appreciated.
  15. multiple horns blowing during play. not cool
  16. I first met Jeff during his first stint at Liberty. Got to know him better during his second stint at Riverside. Always enjoyed Coach Quinn as well from his Tim at TCA
  17. I understand Riverside lead RB #25 was injured up at Gibson County early in the game. What is his status for Friday? Was shocked Milan jumped y'all in the AP Pole this week. Didn't see that one coming. Been a few years since I broadcast a game up there. Looking forward to seeing my friends Coach Jeff Robertson and Coach Quinn on Friday. Riverside always showed good hospitality when I've been there for past games. As always, I pray for an injury free game for both teams.
  18. JCS will easily knock TRA from the ranks of the unbeaten. Most likely a mercy rule. Like another poster said, one of my people says FC down 2 starting linemen. At least one possibly dismissed. The loss of 2 starting linemen has to hurt. Should be GOTW in D2A. Got a feeling that FCS might be ripe for the picking. TCA travels to D12A #2 Riverside. Panthers in foul mood that despite having most first place votes, Milan jumped them in the AP's pole this week after a dominating win over Camden. Atmosphere will heavily favor the defending state runners-up in Riverside. Hopefully, TCA can be competitive. They have lots of front line weapons but overall depth is an issue. Kicking game got much better 2 weeks ago and others are promising in recent play.
  19. Not sure why you give that comment to me. Disappointing to hear that comment.
  20. You are certainly correct about the champio ship games being in Chattanooga. Last time I worked o e it was still in Cookeville and Murfreesboro before that. Age will mess with ones sense of direction at times. I wonder if Playercoach will get all upity with you for saying the same thing I did about the path for W1 to the SHIP this season. On paper it is most certainly an easy road when compared to last year. With his vast football knowledge he should be able to see. He must be an official! LOL
  21. Dude, I was making a comparison between the paths W1 and W2 would have to take to get to Cookville this year. W1 has a bye to open the playoffs. Then the get to host either E3 or M3. Win that game and you would most likely host either M2 or E2 with that winner getting to Cookville. Of course either M2 or E2 would be a tough opponant I wouldnt deny that. I think the team favored to be W1 would be more than capable of handling business at their house. W2 starts the playoffs hosting E4. They would then advance to play at M1 who comes in off a bye. I still think that could very well be NCS despite their poor start this season. Should W2 manage to somehow win at M1, they would most likely travel to E1 in the semis and probably face FCS. A person with your knowledge of the game ought to be able to see that W2 has a tougher path than W1 when looking at a blank bracket and applying some logic. In other words, W1 has an "easier" path at least on paper. Last years tournament bracket was a bit more balanced than this years if you care to look in my opinion. My statement that you responded to has nothing to do with homerism, what one thinks about officials, or any other nonsense you are throwing up and saying I am guilty of. Bottom line is you dont care for me. I'm good with that because I certainly don't need your approval or your opinion on anything. Im not going to get on here and use a bunch of snide remarks against you. It serves no purpose. With that being said, Id really prefer that you dont engage me on this board unless i directly comment to you on some subject. The conversation that you injected youself into did not need any input from you as it didnt involve you in the first place. With that being said, I hope the team you follow stays healthy and gets the many blessings that high school football has to offer.
