  1. The TSSAA established a set procedure for Region Duals this year. Only the top two teams from each district will attend the Regional Duals. With the #1 from one district facing the #2 from the other district. The winners then wrestle in the finals and both advance to the state duals.
  2. I just read on tennesseewrestling.com that Cleveland forfitted out to Bradley in the Region 4 finals. What's up with that?
  3. There will be seeding for this years D1 state duals. Criteria includes #1 - must be a region champion and #2 must have placed in the state duals in the previous year. There will also be an attempt made to seperate regional opponents to opposite sides of the brackets. The only reason they would not be is if seeding does not permit.
  4. Whatever you do, make sure that you buy a program while you're at the duals. There will be some good coupons from local vendors that you will be able to use around the time of the Traditional. BTW, Mickey Roos in Franklin (very close to Franklin HS) awesome Texas style BBQ. Plus it's got a great atmosphere at night with live music pretty often. If you're a chain type of guy, there is a Famous Daves in Cool Springs.

  8. no he is not actually, compton is though. and it was a close match, when he got pinned too, 7-8 caleb was winning then got pinned. Not that I am picking on your brother here, but this match was never close. Compton took him down 3 times and chose to let him up twice in the first period. Yes Caleb did score two takedowns in the 2nd, but the score was 9-6 Compton when he stuck him. Please don't post inaccuracies on here.
  9. I get where you're coming from, however John Shrader and Zach Bennett are both very good wrestlers. Franklin expected them to go in and win both of these matches. Not to take anything away from McCoy or Brennen, both are exceptionally good wrestlers, but the Franklin's guys goal is to always win, not to keep a close loss.

  11. Im confused as to how this is relavent to what I said? Or are you changing the subject to hide the fact that you are not good at math? I need things to do with my life? Whys that because Im on coacht at 11? Oh wait you are too..nice try... I will break the entire situation down for you since you seem unable to grasp it, must be something in that TS water As you will notice, that was the only major decision from the night. All regular decisions were indicated by all lower case letters (dec). When I write out results, I indicate a major decision in all capital letters (DEC). I'm sure next you will criticize the fact that I only write the first initial instead of the whole name?? You need things to do with your life since you are nit-picking how results are posted. Obviously not since you are getting a mid-day check of the T.
  12. We have a dual meet record of 18-1 so far, however not the toughest of competition. Brentwood however was a very good win for us. We had some good wins over some reputable programs; Dickson County, Cordova, Siegle. Our one loss was to Grissom, AL at the Tullahoma duals (35-31). Not to make excuses, but we were still short some football guys and had some freshies in the line up that were a little over their head. We are realitively young this year, but have a good spread of ages. Looking forward to a strong class coming up from the middle school ranks next year. Since I have been around the program in every facet since '97, it is my fullest intent for FHS to be back on top We were also 10th @ McCallie with 3 medalists (125 - Compton 3rd, 130 - Woods 3rd, 152 - Shrader 6th)
  13. that is a major decision. still a very impressive performance by bennet. Hence the all caps DEC........
  14. Franklin pulled away early and held on late for a 37-25 victory over home team Brentwood Tuesday night. Next dual match is Tuesday 1.19 vs Independence at Franklin HS, wrestling starts at 5:30. 17. ANYWAYS, we'll find out Thursday for sure when it truly matters. Franklin wrestles Dickson Co. @ Franklin, 2pm. Plus, Dickson is usually at Father Ryan so look for a potential rematch next weekend.
  18. He qualified half way through the season last year and finished out the year. Lost in the consi finals last year in Region 6 to qualify for state.
  19. Franklin HS - HWT - Isaiah Anderson made TSWA 1st team all state and 2009 Tennessean Dream team. Committed to MTSU
  20. Wow, no love to the Franklin wrestlers. I guess they aren't getting the cred they deserve. It's cool though it will all come out in the wash in February 119 - Alex Bennett beat (sizably) Ben Smith B-wood in preseason 125 - Compton, probably most accurate post for Franklin 130 - Austin Woods, beat Shepard (9-4) in preseason and 6 of his 7 wins this year are first period pins 135 - Cilimberg will be a quiet killer in this weight 140 - Holleran - Just getting rolling because of football, but will do great this year 145 - Zach Bennett, at least others to watch 152 - Demonbreun is about to come on strong, but hasn't wrestled a match at 152 so far this season. John Shrader though has been tearing it up for the Rebels and is undefeated so far this season 285 - Big Isaiah Anderson, that's all I'm saying. Keep that name in the back of your mind Keep it up Franklin, it will be proven
  21. Becareful what you wish for. We had him once and he made our program everyone's homecoming game Coach Webb just happened to take over the Henry County program in a down cycle(which all programs go through) and also they were still playing in the highest classification. I dare say if Mr. Webb had been the HC at Henry County( in a lower classification) the last 5 years you would have had the same outstanding results..he is a winner. Sometimes politics and over zealous parents take over a program and Hogan believes that is what happen to Mr. Webb at Henry County..trust me, I should know. As usual, I'm gonna agree with my main man Hogan on this one. Donnie Webb is not only an awesome coach, he is a great guy. Everyone associated with Franklin Football should count their blessings that he is a part of our program.
  22. I think the applicable phrase here is "gettin powned" Get some
