A balanced offense is very hard to defend. If you know the opposing teams strength (bread & butter) then you know how to or try to prepare. If my memory serves me correct I seen some stat first of the year that Hampton through for a touch over 250 yards in first half.
This Hampton is highest in team history..Second best was the 2011 team at an average of 40.6 per game during regular season, that dropped slightly to 38 after the loss to Oneida 20-16 in the first round of playoffs.
SN will have to do more than just run the ball..I have seen them not even attempt a pass in some games..Now they didn't need to and I understand that..Hampton in most games could have rushed every down and still won by large numbers but they chose to keep everyone in the offensive scheme of things in some way..That will be the difference in this one. Who has the most balance offensively wins this one and it appears h-town has more experience doing so through the season..
You are not down as much as you all think..you guys have had a tough schedule thus far. last half of the season will be better than the first half...GP in a big way this week.
Your correct Pujo, This SE team is pretty darn good..Lost only three regular season games last year and didn't lose hardly anything to graduation, this makes me think JC isn't as weak as some may expect.
Very good point..I have also seen Hampton this year in some situations that they could have folded, but have fought and overcame adversity with heart and determination especially on the defensive side..
Hampton must take care of the football..They can't afford to come out flat and play careless. I think the HV game was a wake up game. I'm more than sure it's been addressed and will see a different team this time out.
Has the bye week been a benefit for the dogs?..They getting any back this week. I know they are still shorthanded some, but hope to see them go little deeper this week.
At 100% this team is dangerous in many ways. The last few years I have been on edge when our defense was on the field. I am more at ease this year. I am liking what I'm seeing this year on the defensive side much improved.
The new Star has went down hill...Combs hands are tied in many ways...He would love be under the lights on Friday nights instead couped up in that office getting what info he can from anyone he can that makes min wage..
