  1. Prayers sent. These two teams always have played a very clean hard hitting football game the last several years. I do think Milan takes care of business by a couple of TD's as Peabody is in a rebuilding year. So help me out here. If Milan wins they will play Decatur County for the 2 or 3 seed next week. Peabody loses they will be 4 seed and in bracket with 2 seed in your District. Football is same as basketball I think as 1 and 3 and 2 and 4 in same bracket. I have no idea what Memphis teams are like or whoever the other District is you will be playing in first round. Do know this. Lots of times when you have 3 or 4 good teams in a District the 2 seed in that District is much better off. Just looked at Regions and y'all are in there with Loretto and Waverly from what I gather. I hadn't really laid that much attention to who will play who and so on.
  2. Mckenzie will be better late as they have some new pieces to the puzzle. Handling ball pressure and being able to get into a rhythm and flow of the game will be needed especially from the younger players. One's you lost we're really good role players. Will be interesting. Y'all will be better late.
  3. Don't Dresden, Moore County, Mckenzie, MASE and Union City have to go through each other to advance?? I know Mckenzie has had to do that the last couple of years. Peabody, Fayetteville and Lake County was in there as well. And then you get the prize of playing South Pittsburg usually. I have said all along easier to win AA than A IMO west of the Tennessee River.
  4. Yeah he is the coach of young teenage ladies too. Being honest about it I wouldn't feel comfortable sending stuff like that to just someone I was in a relationship with individually. Never know what might happen on the next full moon. Sounds like he was quitting I guess but they made sure of it sounds like.
  5. I lived in Murfreesboro for several years and I can remember teachers there wouldn't even let a picture be taken of them period or hardly a camera out anywhere in fear of it being put out on Facebook or social media.
  6. I know y'all have a lot of talent and will be tough to handle. The PG is really smooth. She is a handful.
  7. I agree on Mckenzie. They will get better late but the girls they lost really played their roles really good and the newer players have to get better with the fundamentals of the game. Westview will be tough again for sure. Got lots of talent. And you will be getting Simpson back. I hadn't seen your new PG but I heard she was good. I do think Gibson County and Westview will be a good matchup again. Both teams have always been two of the best programs in the state reloading and developing talent. I expect both teams to be good.
  8. I watched the Freshman PG at GC Saturday. Second time I seen her this summer and Fall. She plays and has the confidence of a junior or senior. With her and Crawford on the floor they will be very very talented. They will be really good especially later once they have played together a bunch and gets their chemistry in tact. They will have two years to play together, which will make for a lots of fun for Dyersburg.
  9. Who beat Riverside last year?? Can't remember. I agree West will have a good shot but not automatic.
  10. I think one of the three will for sure be there. Don't know about winning it. Usually always a tough team east of the Tennessee River.
  11. We played both Mckenzie and South Side this summer. Both have younger players that need experience to make that run. South Side's Askins was out all summer with a broken wrist or hand. She is a Miss Basketball talent. Mckenzie is effected more than I thought. Both teams have younger players that have to be battle tested. Both teams will be better late in the year. Westview will reload but losing Harrison won't help. Wayne County in Single A will be tough. McMinn Central and Gatlinburg Pittman will be tough in AA. Livingston Academy and Upperman will be a handful in AAA. AA is always loaded. Gibson County, York, Alcoa, Loretto, Summertown, Peabody bumped up....etc..We will see.
  12. Never know what is going to happen. Peabody is down this year.
  13. Ought to be interesting for sure. Gibson County has a few players but we just don't have the numbers. Can we make a game with some decent teams?! Sure but we just are thin. If I had to bet I would say Adamsville and Peabody winner would have a good shot.
  14. Broke arm?? I broke mine compound fracture in HS in practice. Hate to hear that.
  15. Adamsville game next week will be big. I hope they get it together. Coaches are good coaches for sure but their job is harder now losing all the talent we mentioned. Will be interesting. Hopefully they will improve as the year goes on.
  16. I couldn't remember their names. Getting old. I said 2 QB's. Baugus and Driggers. Gatlin was a beast too.
  17. QB from Fairley goes in shotgun instead of under center Peabody likely loses that one. But they survived .Ganoway brothers, Dickson, Vaughn, Halbrook, Burkette and 2 QB's, Baskerville etc....Lot of talent for a school less than 400.
  18. I know Milan under Morris had back to back titles. Union City won 3 or 4 more spread out. Gibson County, Mckenzie and Westview girls have had back to back titles in basketball. I agree Peabody going 3 in a row is the best West TN has ever seen in a sport. Take a mistake or two away against Mckenzie in the semis and could have very likely been 4 in a row. Will be interesting what happens in the future. The Adamsville game will be a big game.
  19. Peabody will be battling to get the fourth spot, IMO. I have Riverside, Huntingdon and Milan in the top 3. Will be interesting to see how good Adamsville is. They need to improve to make it in for sure. Will be interesting for sure.
  20. The QB and RB both can run the football. I would run them both early and often. Maybe run under center occasionally and line the RB a little deeper and let that big line push some folks back. I think they have some talent. Will be interesting if they get better. Will be a challenge for the coaches.
  21. Reason I say they need to simplify their offense because they are very undisciplined right now. Let's learn these 8-10 plays and do them real good. I agree that the talent is there. They're just not crisp now at all.
  22. I have watched both games on film. Just saying they are very undisciplined. Need to simplify things somewhat. Too many mistakes. Riverside will win big. Peabody just needs to try and improve each week though to try to make a late run to get in playoffs. Riverside, Huntingdon and Milan are top 3 in their Region IMO in that order.
  23. If I am Peabody I simplify my offense. I would run a lot of zone read. On occasion I would line under center and run right at teams. QB is a good runner and the RB is too. I would run both of them early and often and pass very little. They need to limit plays and get crisp on fewer plays, IMO. They are making way to many mistakes. Limit plays and get good at running fewer plays. QB and RB are good runners and you have big OL. Just shooting self in the foot too much.
  24. I watched the USJ Peabody game. Peabody at times gave USJ trouble running right at them, but Peabody self destructed with center QB exchanges and penalties way too much. USJ was more disciplened for sure. They made some mistakes themselves just not as many.I can see Union City giving USJ some problems with their offense. Will be interesting. USJ left some points on the table as well. From what I hear lots of teams played sloppy this week. Will be an interesting week 2. Hopefully lots of improvements.
