I think just doing 8 Regions would keep it more honest because the Region play the true seeding would be accurate. When you have a tough District and the other District is terrible teams actually get penalized for winning District Championships. Number of games would probably be inline you just wouldn't have a District Tournament due to more teams.

When you find a schedule post it if you don't mind.

Greenfield lost in 2018 in the District Championship to Gleason and put us in the same bracket. Wayne County will have to put their big pants on early this year. Mckewen is a good team. I seen them at Bethel. Where is the Region at because I would love to go watch it??

Y'all won the District pretty easy. Some times coaches don't want to show their cards for film...etc...Dyersburg went on a 35-4 run in a heartbeat. I thought their press was executed to perfection. So they obviously had been working on it in practice. Dyersburg has more talent probably than anyone in the state in AAA. Last night should be their wake up call.

If Dyersburg presses they will beat any team there by double digits, IMO. They are not a good half court team, IMO but they did have some good possesions in the half court but they are much better playing fast and creating space in the open court. They have a lot of talent. Prayers for Crawford as well that she gets well. I thought South Gibson would press some but they didn't and Crockett was turning it over some in the half court. South Gibson plays good defense and I predict they will be really good the next four years as their Jr. High is loaded. South Gibson is not a good half court team either. They need to try to get in transition more and play faster, IMO. Really good District. Will be interesting the next two games Monday Night. Y'all's District will likely replay each other in the Region. Dyersburg I just don't think can be touched around here when they are engaged. Credit to Obion for hitting big shot after big shot and staying in the game. Great shooting night and performance. Crockett played well as their defense really created a lot of havoc. The girl guarding Dunn up top kinda set the tone. Thought Dunn handled the pressure pretty good but I thought Crockett's defense was just a little better than South Gibson's. South Gibson's buckets seemed harder to come by. 14 for Crockett is a big time player.

Two good games. Dyersburg plays fast and presses and uses their pressure, speed and athleticism they will be tough to beat. They play a half court game they are subject to lose IMO. South Gibson and Crockett County great game that Crockett just made a few more shots. Four good teams.

Wouldn't suprise me King. Probably a safe bet to say one of Mckenzie, Wayne County and Pickett County. But I wouldn't count out Moore County and Richland either to throw a wrench in the party. Richland has beaten Loretto and Moore County is tough as well.

I told Coach Wilkins last night it is a blessing to get there and a double blessing to win it. Lots of battles in season to get good seeds and big time Tournament games to get there. Summertown had beat Loretto 3 times a couple of years ago and got hot at right time and beat them at state and won it. There are favorites but you really never know. Just got to get there. Underdog lots of times does well.

I have heard mixed reports on knee. I will be there in action to watch them tonight so we will find out tonight. Prayers for her that she heals and can get back to action. I assume y'all will play Monday after tonight.

Gibson County Westview Saturday Night as both teams advance. Gibson County beats Ripley and Westview Peabody went down to the wire as both teams battled. Big win for Westview. Huge games tonight as Crockett County South Gibson possibly battle for the inside track to Murfreesboro. Dyersburg Obion winner will be big as will the South Side McNairy winner. South Side and Dyersburg will be favored. South Gibson Crockett will likely be a four quarter dogfight. Tonight's action will be big. Good luck to all. Think I may head to Crockett to check them out.

I agree with that Hawk. My comments about AAA is in no disrespect to any team. My take is AA as a whole is better than AAA this year and last year. Both Summertown and Loretto the last two years weren't at state but could have won the Gold Ball as well. But South Side may have been the best team overall in the state last year I agree.

They will have 8 really good teams. AAA is just not as deep as AA this year, IMO. Don't know about 10-11 but they will have 8 good one's.

If TSSAA came out and said we need two volunteers from AA to join the AAA State Tournammet they would be crazy not to. AA is loaded to the max.

They did a draw after the Region Tournament in 2020 or 2021, I believe 2021. I seen it. They have done it before but to make sure it isn't corrupt they had to wait until after the Region to keep teams from losing on purpose. They drew before substate was over in 2020 or 2021. You didn't dream it because it did happen. Could have been 2022.

Trinity Christian Academy is really good in West TN. Almost feel like I am at a restaurant there. Gibson County has good BBQ for nachos when they have it. Greenfield pretty good as well.

Gibson County has the District Tournament and whoever wins our District Tournament will host the Region. It is our Districts turn to host.

Lillie Kee is a player I agree. If she stays out of foul trouble Huntingdon can win it all. Miss Basketball is an award that lots of times the best player won't win. Heather Butler from Gibson County is the all time scoring leader in OVC history and didn't win it. Went 70-1 and 2 Gold Balls and was at state another year.

Lots of good players in AA but I just don't see how Micah Hart don't win it in AA this year. She is very close to being the all time leading scorer at Gibson County. Just has dominated the game this year in West TN and has been keyed on by teams big time. Phenomenal basketball player.

AA is loaded down. Lots of great players. I will say this about Micah Hart because I have watched her a bunch. Last couple of years she goes to Summertown and Loretto in substate and scores over 30 in both games. 2 very hostile environments. She averages 22 or 23 this year and has led Gibson County to an undefeated District Team. She beats Bartlett on a 25 foot shot at the buzzer. She gets multiple steals, rebounds and assists every game. Just a big time player. AA I know has a bunch. I just seen Micah a bunch and she is a big time player. Averaging 22 or 23 in HS basketball is very difficult especially when you only play a half in some games. Very proud of her and the Lady Pioneers.

At church last night a South Gibson Fan said he heard a Dyersburg player had hurt a knee maybe in a prior game. Hope none of them are hurt.
