After watching film on SP it will be a very difficult win for Greenback. Do I believe Greenback can play with them? Yes, for how long? I hope 4 qtrs. If you look at the Grace vs Greenback game there is a bunch of could have's. Got stopped at 1 as time ran out before half would have made it 14-7, fumbled on the 15 going in on first series after half would have made it 14-14 all, dropped touchdown pass from 4 yrd line which should have given us 21. I believe we can play with them but we will see. I was hoping to see SP later down the road but its just the way it is. Good luck to both teams and hope there is no injuries. I believe the key to both teams is the line, believe we both have skilled players and will depend on which dline and oline show up Friday.

Hey rlh tell me this, all these people say Chatt Grace and Greenback should have scheduled SP, I for one believe Greenback should have played that extra game but not against SP. Why did your coach refuse to play Alcoa? Same reason these teams didnt play SP? just asking.

the teams that Greenback has played has 1 more victory than Coalfield and 10 less losses. How do you see that? just because you score more points. We did lose to a Good GCA team but we should have also put 21 points on the board. We have beaten all the teams in your district that we have played (OS, Oneida, Wartburg). I'm not saying that you all want beat or can't beat Greenback just saying why shouldnt they be ahead of you.

I belieive someone should take a shot at Micheal Charles White III at Maryville. Not to young not to old? Why would he leave Maryville and George? who knows? He knows how to win, been taught by the best in the business over the last 10 yrs. Just my opinion. Not sure why William Blount didn't come looking when there job opened up.

Never said it was right powerp just said it could happen. I don't think it matters where your seeded if your the better team. I do not believe home field plays that much into high school football when the other team is that much better.

The only way Coalfield jumps Greenback is if Cosby wins I believe that will give them more teams they have beat with .500 record, I believe someone said that earlier, but if SP gets beat then it will be Coalfield and Greeback as 1 and 2 because they will each have 9 wins. Not the way TSSAA has it. They have Greenback as 1 in district because Grace is ineligible. On the TSSAA website they have Greenback ahead of Coalfield. I don't know how it will work because I thought Greenback was 2nd in district also but they had them as first.

How will Greenback not be 1 or 2 seed with a win over Harriman? they are ahead of Coalfield on the TSSAA site. I understand if SP gets beat at Grace but even if SP wins how will Greenback be a 3? And when a kid has 280 total yards and 5 tds I would say he is a little bit better than good. He has rushed for over a 1000 yds his freshman and sophomore year. So what is bringing your game for Oneida? We here about how young they are but Greenback has 4 seniors we pretty young also. If you get beat just say you got beat. It was a great game there's no doubt but don't say we didn't bring our game. come on!

I'm not gonna take anything away from #1 but as I look at the schedule Greenback has played Tellico Plains, got beat by Grace (without him there I believe) and they beat Cloudland. I believe in two of those games, we should have been heavily favored. I have no dog in the fight, but I do believe that from what I have seen, when watching earlier games that the transfer, #6, helped him #2 out quiet a bit. I believe that WB should have hired and up and coming coach by the name of Mike White. Mike has been under the watchful eye of George Quarles for years and I believe Mike could have brought stability to the program. Not sure if Mike was ever looked at after Meadows but why wouldnt he have? Mike could have brought in his brother Nick and I believe kept the program going strong. I know nothing about Gregory and he may be a great man, but why not have given Mike a chance?

sorry patriot, I wasnt trying to put words in your mouth. I have no knowledge of wrestling. My thinking is the same as yours with the kid playing. Your starter is injured, your rb is injured and you now have to play a freshman at QB. My question is if you are in the playoffs and the kid misses do you play him next week? Again, didnt mean any harm.

So rcpatriot is saying that Miller is letting team down by wrestling? If this game meant going to or staying home for the playoffs how would you guys feel about him wrestling? I know nothing about the tournament and what it means but I think win or lose Greenback is in.

The number 2 team in Class 3A is Alcoa's back-ups. Their second team would win the district now. CAK can still play the game but it will not matter. This one is over by half time if Rankin wants it over.

Hogan is doing good, he had surgery on Thursday and the doctors said he should have a full recovery in 6 months.

For the people that say Greenback won't miss a beat I would like for you to explain. Greenback was 3-7 last year. You had a QB that has rushed for over 400 yds and thrown for almost 700 and you think he won't be missed? How long has the Miller kid played QB? 1 quater? He is a good athlete but he played against Lookout Valley (2 wins) and now has Tellico Plains (0 wins). I don't doubt the kid will do fine but do you not think that if the Miller kid was better that he would have been the starter? Do you think you would be 6-2 without Goodson? Just asking? Again, the kid apparently has a severe injury and I think Miller will do fine, but do you not think we would be better off with him as QB?

What about the QB? You not think he has taken any pressure off of Seymour? Tell them to throw the ball down the middle and not the fade all the time. He is usually running for his life and has 400 yds passing and 400 running. Don't get me wrong, I believe Seymour is the man, but I believe they need to get the ball down the field. I believe they need to find the tight end some and believe that J Miller , B Williams and E Anderson can make some big plays. Just my opinion.

Just how are they going to open it up? I believe we have been waiting on this for 6 games now. Im not complaining we are 4-2 but waiting til you play a 0-5 team to "open" up the O seems a little late. Who knows, as long as we get the win I'm good. I hope they throw the ball in the middle of the field and maybe throw some bubble screens and to the tight end. The fade only works so much.
