The boys and girls both played some good teams this summer and in tournaments but for the most part you're exactly right.

None recent enough for that person to run their mouth like that. Most people from Meigs are just excited to be there.

Their enrollment allowed them to. They were pretty close to the bottom of AA for a while before the last enrollment count.

Pay that person no mind. Meigs will be, and probably should be an underdog throughout the tournament. They've played a pretty decent schedule up to now but I don't think they've seen a team as good as Union City. Hopefully we'll show up and play well. If we can somehow rebound and shoot the ball well I think we have a shot.

Who are the teams to beat out of Districts 1 & 2? Not trying to look ahead I just don't know who all is in those districts.

Seems to be a great guy and from his reputation a good football coach. Meigs is lucky to get him. Happy that there is a little excitement surrounding the program for a change.

Meigs was almost certain they'd be in the Chattanooga district. Even if you request one way or another the TSSAA will just put you where they want and tell you to get over it.

We scrimmaged both teams this fall and I was more impressed by Silverdale. Big and physical up front on both sides of the ball with athletes all over. CB may have a little more team speed. Will be a good game if CB can get off to a fast start and make Silverdale make mistakes. Wishing both teams best of luck this year.

I agree on the age part. If a kid will be able to play high school he should be able to play little league. The only part of the weight limit rule I don't like is the defense and special teams rules. Offensively I think its ok. Too many parents think they're kid is a worldbeating running back when he's really an above average guard.

I wouldn't count on it. If the clock works we may just start the game off up 7-0 to make up for it.

Because all the other teams left for other jamborees so Loudon had to fill two quarters with the junior games.

Polk's juniors play Meigs' juniors. Polk plays Lenior City in the 3rd quarter and Meigs plays Loudon in the 4th.
