  1. Worst decision my Alma mater ever made. He'd still be there, we know where Arth went.
  2. Top 5 dual teams? Bradley for sure is a top 5 team, but I wouldn't put Heritage there since they didn't even win their region. Bradley Central however had a tough late season match against a full Pigeon Forge squad who would definitely make some noise regardless of class.
  3. Wrestling most definitely yes, football not likely. Name another state or national rivalry that has as many state titles for both schools as far back as the 70's and has been played more times than Maryville-Alcoa. We hold the national record for most consecutive years played as well....
  4. Chill man, if it's that much of an issue you guys should just settle it in the mat.
  5. Maryville-Alcoa, Alcoa-Maryville (however you want to say it) is THE biggest rivalry game in Tennessee.
  6. We'll be plenty big enough next year. Size isn't much of a concern for next year's team as much as replacing the Senior leaders we're losing. For any program, replacing Seniors will always be a question mark and we had some good leaders from the small group of Seniors we had this year.
  7. Talking to Coach Harris and knowing what we have in the pipeline I don't see the trend changing of us meeting in the semis for the next 4+ years. Both teams are well stocked all the way down into the MS ranks and the only advantage each have will be home field.
  8. We'll see, history proves otherwise. Congrats again though to my Patriot buddies on the well deserved win.
  9. BC, most of these guys have no clue. We may have had our differences before, but you know where I'm coming from and I'm sticking with what I said. Most educated folks (coaches included) agree with me, their depth would be a factor no doubt Buckles makes a big difference.
  10. What makes you say that? I'd definitely be interested in what line of thinking led you to that hyperbole.
  11. Oakland's strength plays right into Alcoa's so they're not putting up more than 20 on Alcoa's D. At the risk of beating a dead horse, Alcoa with Buckles on a neutral field can beat any team no matter what classification.
  12. Which set of facts are you using exactly? The baseless one you just pulled out of thin air or facts that are closer to reality that suggest it would be a close game?
  13. I think the Goons need to chime in on this discussion. Too many closet Oakland fans not giving you guys a chance.

  14. It helps when I'm usually the smartest person in the room.
  15. Booooo, we don't want to hear that kind if talk! We'll be just fine....
  16. It'd be more of a 14-13 type game, neither one of them would hit 20 points.
  17. "You're" still wrong, but you can believe what you want. Again, I'm not guaranteeing and Alcoa IFL win at all, but I'd put money on an IFL win if Buckles is the QB and Rankin stays off the playsheet.
  18. Hey, you're the one calling people stupid not me.
  19. Sure is, especially if you want to get to the quarterfinals.
  20. I doubt he cares, but he knows Alcoa could potentially beat them believe me IF that game was ever played.
