I think the onside kick was absolutely the right call. Either try and get it or if we don't at least they'll score with enough time for us to answer. The going for it on fourth down was the one I have the problem with. If they didn't get it, which they barely did, beech would've probably punched it in and that would've been it with much of the 4th quarter remaining.

Beech 27 Mt. Juliet 20 Sloppy first half. 4 interceptions for both sides. Jalen Hurd was held in check and never could break a big one but still pounded the ball for over 200 yards. They could not stop him. Mt Juliet went for it on fourth and two on their own 22 yard line with 9 minutes left in the game and also an onside kick with a tie ball game with 6 minutes left (unsuccessful). They knew they could not stop Jalen Hurd. I'm not positive he's the best I've ever seen (Lamarcus Coker), but he's ridiculous.

I dont think Beech fans are sounding cocky just yet, i just think that we are confident in our run game. If you've seen a game you know how potent it is. So in that respect, its extremely unforseeable that Beech will be held to 30 yards rushing. Thats not so cocky is it? I mean we could've posted this topic as Beech is gonna win 5A State Championship for the next 10 years, like our good friend from Memphis Mitchell would like to do

and the hill was completely rocking. the most cars i've seen at a game since beech hendersonville of the coach holme's era

they did have a great offense, i was just referring to the arrogance of mitchell fans calling not only this game but the state game before they were even played. just cause you have a big prospect and a good qb doesnt make it a sure thing. like you said, defense is also quite important. its a team game for a reason. dont overlook beech just cause they're not the most athletic looking.

one thing i'd like to add is this, PATs are not automatic at this level. so you cant go on the argument that kicking the point would've automatically sent it to another overtime. just a thought

one thing that you guys shouldnt forget is whether or not Amos, QB for Beech is going to play. Does anybody know how beat up he is? I'll pick Beech with Amos, without, it gets ugly. But theres still Allen, the best back i've seen since Coker.

Man was i wrong...Great Job Bucs...This Allen kid for Beech, watch out for his name in the headlines the rest of the year. 12 carries 153 yds rushing, two tds. Very nice job all around.

The Bucs have won 4 out of the last 5...its hard to go against them, but they lost a load of talent the last two years...As a former Buc its hard to say, but i gotta say the commandos are taking this one.

dont sleep on Beech guys...there is so much talent on this team, and sure you can say these guys didnt play in games but 3 years in the Joines' system still does so much for a player. They'll be fine.

if tonight's game at shackle island stadium didnt prove that the Beech-Hendersonville rivalry doesnt deserve to be in the top 10 in the state, than no game in the world ever would. Back and forth, big play after big play, and throw in a little OT, and you get another classic game...Beech wins, 28-21 in OT

Oh definitely agreed, the talent in the state i think is on the rise, tons of good teams out there. but you know give anybody in the Joines system for 3 years, especially guys who are already at the top of their level (middle school), and you're looking at some fine athletes.

ok didnt mean to step on the toes of the middle school enthusiast, but im just sayin what i heard, either way they're good, really good. now, thanks to Beech's Coach Joines, i have the schedule for this year. i'll post it on the beech page, and he also gave me the teams for the christmas tourney at home again. It's beech, lewis co. (?), Convington, Centennial, LaVergne Magee(?), Giles Co., and Northeast. Now the ? are b/c its hard to read his writing so i assume thats what it says. And one more thing, the schedule isnt final yet, so dont blame me if you show up for a game that got changed, but it should be set.
