By my count, only 60% of the schools playing on Thursday night have played on Thursday so far. Then the number of home teams that have already played on Thursday isn't small, so they chose to schedule it this way.
Games like Oakland-Riverdale, GH-MJ, Betsy-Greeneville, Upperman-DeKalb, Pearl-Marshall Co. or Riverside-Milan aren't going to suffer just bc a game is on Halloween.
Allows fans to see teams other than their own for once, especially fans of smaller schools that don't get to see FBS level talent all that much. Honestly wouldnt be mad if TSSAA did this on purpose 1-2 times each season where a week is packed with games on Thursday that people want to see
