I am all for the truth. Not for the school or the TSSAA. What I am not for is somebody taking jabs at one another based on speculation. Everything in life can be made better, bring solutions on how your gonna do something. Quit playing Monday morning quarterback like you know something. Bring a solution to the table and do something. like I said in a previous post - in my opinion it is not right for the TSSAA to profit on a school that loses money. Present your case to them and let it be heard. Do something to make a change.

I’m not disagreeing, that is what I would want for my child too. What I am saying that added expense is not the responsibility of the TSSAA. just to put it in perspective, when I was in school we went to Oak Ridge, Jackson Central Merry, Germantown, and Baylor on the yellow bus and it did not hurt my butt one bit. If you want nicer things pay for them and quit crying when somebody ain’t footing your bill. just to put this in perspective, our charter busses were over $6000 this year in our first 2 games. Our booster club works hard and foots this bill.

CBG, I realize this is your opinion, in my opinion this is a direct result of bad management by the school systems and the county on many levels. Administration, People, and coaches are fussing about expenses when in fact they are a lot of the problem themselves. Ask yourself this question, why would a school or administration refuse to play a team in the next county? Example; Wilson and sumner This a a direct result of bad management at the local level. On the other hand, someone who did it right for all, Montgomery county. Is it perfect? No! But it sure is a lot smarter. CBG, I really disagree with that last post.

This is interesting topic and can be viewed many ways. This is the main source of income for TSSAA. That 50% number needs to be adjustable when schools are losing money. In this scenario that is presented $3200 on busses is excessive. That tells me these were charter busses used for comfort and convenience. That is not there responsibility to cover excessive cost. Team meals are also not the responsibility of the TSSAA. both of these cost should be funded by the school, booster club, parents etc. With that said, I totally understand the want for these added amenities. I would want it for my child also. I also believe a school should never go in the hole for this either. This is where I draw the line to expenses, if your in the hole because of base expenses it should be taken out of TSSAA’s 50%. At no time should they profit off of a schools loss. My recommendation is to petition the TSSAA and let this be handled on a case by case basis. I personally have an issue with the travel to Chattanooga, a city that is not centrally located and not very accessible to all. just my .02

To not play those in county games loses a lot of revenue for all concerned. Also need to include Wilson and Robertson in this. it has gotten to the point with Beech and some others nobody will play you. Football drives a lot of athletics, cheer, dance and so on. There is a lot of money that is lost for all due to these bad decisions.

That is true. However, Beech was running clock beginning of the 3rd.

He doesn’t but it wasn’t worth addressing. Cane Ridge went out early last year. I believe 1st round against Clarksville. We have already played Smyrna this year as we do every year We were in the quarterfinals last year against Summit. I do believe we are set up to make a run. Are we gonna make it, who knows but I believe we have as good a shot as anyone. Can we win it, that would be a stretch. For the record I think we have competed well the last 2 years in 6a considering we are one of the very smallest schools in 6a.

Wins don’t have to be pretty. They still put the W in the win column. What woulda shoulda did happen for ER. In the end that’s all that matters. All good teams not only need the skill and coaching to go with it, they also need a little luck. Congrats to ER, now on to the next.

I think Beech has found an identity in the last few weeks. Change just 1 of 3 plays in the Farragut game and they are undefeated. Every week presents a different challenge and Springfield will definitely be the next. When you play good teams, it definitely makes you better.

MJ, I don’t believe for one minute Dustin and the jackets don’t play to win. It AIN’T in His blood to not win. He is a competitor. They are a competitor. I don’t think the faithful will have a say in that. lol History says in the last few years that Beech Wins. Springfield is good and definitely don’t need to be taken lightly. Overlook them and they will step on your toes.

MJ, if you look at how many points that Clarksville has put up with the exception of Beech and Springfield, their offense has done well. I think their defense is suspect still but improving every week. i believe they end up a 2 seed in the region. I don’t believe Gallatin can stop them at the end of the year.

No offense taken. I think your unproven statement has some validity thus far. This is my opinion, I believe that the heart and soul of High school football is in the coaching staff. I also believe that if you expect to win you will in so many ways. Chase is changing the culture in so many ways. I was not into the boat racing conversation, I just know he is the type of coach that can put points on the board. I have no vested interest in ER, just a follower. I do believe in this coaching staff. They are good men who can take that program far. I so look forward to the playoffs for them as I believe that they are going to be successful. Time will tell.

I wouldn’t put too much into their 1st game. I think that game has a different outcome now. New coaches + new players + 1st game = tough loss. Time will obviously tell, I believe by the time they hit the playoffs you won’t recognize that team from the 1st loss. I have got a lot of confidence in that coaching staff. They came from winners and they are winners. JMHO

What do you base your assessment off of. If their good enough to have a running back for a possible Mr 2A football and haven’t allowed a sack, they are plea you good enough to mercy rule you. My opinion is Coach Brooks and Coach Alexander have had a kind heart. They know very well how to put points on an opponent. Just sayin’

My prediction is Gallatin will not beat Hendersonville at home. I do not believe this will be close. 42-14 Hendersonville.

It has been a fun bye week. Ready to get to work. Clarksville is a much improved team. One thing I know for sure is we don’t need to overlook them
