If the admin at DB is that in favor of playing and I know the McMinn admin and team is why don’t both teams petition the TSSAA in the morning with the idea to play the game tomorrow evening!!!!!! Make it happen.

This I do know. There is no way in heck that DB will not advance. Right it down, take a picture of it...this is going to happen. No fault of either program and no fault of any individual that has occurred over the last 4-5 days. It’s unfortunate as McMinn doesn’t have teams like this but about every 20 or so years. Ive said it before. This is unprecedented times so make an unprecedented decision to play on Monday evening and push the 3rd round game back to Saturday night. Bottom line let the kids determine the outcome on the field as I’m sure both teams are willing to do.

Not blaming DB at all. From what I know to be true DB was professional thru the entire process. Also DB wanted to play but as you know the SCHD shut the game down. I just see the TSSAA siding with DB and allowing them to advance. Some things are just a given.

Guys it really doesn’t matter because WE all know how this thing is going to play out. The TSSAA will award the win to DB and life marches on. I don’t agree with it as I believe they should play the game but that isn’t going to happen. DB gets the nod because McMinn is the small rural school with not much post season history and DB is the big boy on the block with the history and legacy. Stop the guessing and come to grip with the fact DB advances. I don’t like it but that’s what is going to happen and everyone on both sides knows it. Matter of fact everyone in the state of Tennessee knows what’s going to happen.

Yes. A doctor gave the player in question a letter to participate after the negative antibody test. The correct thing to do is for both teams to ask the TSSAA to play!

No way McMinn gets a favorable ruling on Monday. And no way that I can see that DB can be held responsible. If I’m in DB shoes how do they not advance if they don’t let them play the game.

Why not back up the game and play Sunday or Monday. Baylor in Chattanooga is doing the same thing. They pushed their game back to today. This isn’t rocket science!

How does Nick Saban test positive...then sent home. Gets 3 negative test and gets to coach not to mention all the players he was around play. Same scenario as McMinn / DB.

Waiting on direction from the TSSAA is like asking for direction from my 2 year old.

Let the kids play the dang game. The kid in question has tested negative. Not to mention he isn’t playing. This will have historical repercussions for both schools but more so for McMinn because we don’t have this type of team very often.

I would hope that DB administration is wanting to play and not trying to skirt around and win by forfeit! They appear to be a classy bunch so let’s hope it works out best for all involved.
