Folks you all do realize that: A)most high school officials also officiate small college games as well so no extra training or special refs would be needed, B)there would be no need for a "4th official" as some have posted, the shot clock operator literally would be responsible for 2 reset buttons. If they can train someone in the school to do the game clock (which is way more complicated) I'm sure they can manage a person to hit 1 of 2 buttons when the ball hits the rim, C)more money?? Most places dont pay table workers as is and are volunteers or school workers. The only extra cost is the 1 time buying of the actual shot clock & accessories. It wont break the bank. All these excuses are really poor and easily debunked, most are just scared if the shot clock comes, coaches will actually have to coach and actually use strategy. Holding the ball for minutes on end is not coaching and certainly isnt any strategy, its disrespectful to the game & tells their players they dont think they are good enough.

Why are people so bent on screwing a kid over because he went to a better situation?? Coaches leave for better situations all the time but a kid has to stay in a bad situation?? For what?? He's not going back to the previous school, is this just to be vindictive? I dont know the kid or have any ties to either school but this trying to screw kids over for leaving a school is low.

This reply is 100% correct. Loopholes folks. If not high school teams across the state would be in big trouble with eligibility between aau and summer team camps.

I'm not sure who "mama" is and if 30 minutes difference makes it more home but whatever helps you accept UT lost player to the last place team in conference, use it lol. She will personally be who she is at Vandy, a good SEC role player, and lose more than she wins. If that's great in your books then yes she will do great!

MJ has 2 players and everything besides those 2 seem to have never touched a basketball before. They are really bad and took a lot of hard losses in camp play.

She was offered, deal was all but done from very inside source. Vandy jumped in and rolled out the red carpet with former aau teammates and swept her away.

So UT can't even get a role player to come over the last place team in the conference. Long term in regards to scholarships, this could be good but to have her on campus and lose her to Vandy looks bad.

Seen Upperman, Cannon and Macon all play this summer. I would rank Upperman slightly above Macon Co with . Upperman is just deeper and longer. Both are really good teams, this district is just going to just beat itsself up this year. Those 3 teams are as good as any 3 teams in 1 district in the state. A LOT of future college ball players on those teams. Cannon & Upperman are loaded with potential future College players (NAIA-D1 levels).

I'm glad you're excited. However, let's be realistic. You can't establish yourself by bringing in mediocre, at best, recruits to any Power 5 school. Theres a reason these kids that have signed didnt have offers from high Power 5 programs. You call KJH an "up and coming" coach? She's been a head coach for a long time now and the only Power 5 experience wasn't, as you claim, a success. Recruiting is the life blood of any College team for any sport, you bring mediocrity in you will get that same result. You bring talent in, as Holly did, and lose you're just not that good of a coach. For what we lost and what we brought in I fully expect a worse season than this year. Yes it was late but when you're coaching at any level you have to have prior established relationships you can lean on to do better than this. They would've been much better off bringing in a couple graduate transfers or really nobody at all than to bring McCoy and the Australian to eat scholarships up for multiple years. Again, some people think being a realist is hating or what not but it's not. Its like looking at you're own kids and knowing their flaws, you have to know them to fix them and try to make them better. Same case here. I dont expect a National or even SEC championship next year, I do expect better recruiting from Day 1 however.

It's enough time to see what has been done to this point and give an opinion/analysis of it. You just cant bring regular run of the mill players that are not good enough in at Power 5 school, whether it be 2 months or 2 years on the job, and expect great success. I hope she does a great job, I hope she surpasses Pat but the start in recruiting isn't promising.

This take will not age well when we look at it towards district tournament time.next year and Alcoa is sitting towards the top of not at the top. They have a lot of kids/ATHLETES who haven't played in years bc of this new coach and he will have them going!! I would say after Christmas this team will be dangerous and not many will want to face them.

Bashing? No, its reality of where recruiting is thus far. The 2 players being brought in wouldn't be on any other team in the SEC's roster, its why they didnt have any offers as such. Levy was a fine high school player, couldn't be a starter at Mizzo. She will be a better role player, depending on that ACL, than the other 2 but not an impact player. Fact and reality is recruiting is the life blood to any College team and this start, even if to fill out a roster, is less than desirable. That's not bashing, hating or being unsupportive its living in the reality of the situation and not not making excuses.

The analysis is fair to this point, she was at NC St before Missouri St and this was kind of the norm recruiting. Cant recruit mid major kids to high level programs and have success. Again, hope she brings us back to national prominence but this start isn't very promising right now. We shall see however.

Very reliable sources say it's a done deal. Not sure if she was recruited last year or not but the major miss was Howard. Went after Massingale harder than Howard was a complete goof of epic standards. Levy is a fine player but she isnt a difference maker like Howard. Levy will be a good role player at the Power 5 level. Not very impressed with Harpers start in recruiting to be honest with McCoy from Farragut and the Australian. Hoping for the best however!!
